Update: this hurricane missed all the important places, but almost ALL of Texas experienced internet outages for several hours yesterday (Spectrum has a fucking monopoly)
The Texas coast deals with hurricanes all the time. Texas still holds the record for the deadliest hurricane disaster in US history, second deadliest in world history.
The hurricane that hit New York was not a category 5, I think, but since New York has no real hurricane preparations it did more damage there than it would have somewhere like Miami where things are built/designed with hurricanes in mind.
I survived Hurricane Micheal and THAT was a category 5. Almost all the trees were flattened, I lost my job, and I had to live with my sister for 2 years. Be glad this storm Beryl lost its strength before hitting Texas.
Father: "Some category 5 aren't really that bad..." It depends on the house structure I guess. Concrete house (NY) more likely to survive compared to the wooden based. 😅
Day 4 with no power, so far. Sitting outside and watching this on my phone in a foldable chair, lit by a citronella candle, since it's hotter inside than it is outside
I just went through the same hurricane, and it wasn’t THAT bad (never got to cat 5 don’t know where she heard that) but we did have a surprising amount of power outages. I still don’t have power back and probably won’t until tomorrow.

"it's slowing down instead of speeding up"
"Yaaaaaaay"
"...So that isn't good"
Yeah, if she’s in Houston, lots of flooding.

everything is bigger in Texas, including natural disasters apparently
As a Florida man I have been through too many hurricanes to Count, zen will be ok.
Is the Waffle House still open? Yes? Sweet gonna go grill.
Really hope Zen is going to be alright!
Hurricane got downgraded to a tropical storm. Up here in DFW it was just 1 day with light rain, however I hear Houston is without power.
@@kriticalysin7925 yeah those winds can be rough..especially the gusts
@@kriticalysin7925At least internet is back up after yesterday, so she should be able to let everyone know she’s okay.

Not only that but it mixed with a nasty northern storm. It just made it worse
Currently on my second day without electricity because of this damn hurricane
Hope you and everyone in the home are safe
me too brother me too....crazy thing is...half the block got their electricity already...except for us and some one else....the luck is not lucking
@@H3NRY121 oh man our entire neighborhood is still in the dark going into day 3 of no ac in the awful humid Texas heat
@@raptormaverick4774 thank you appreciate that 😊
@@aiwash2766Same bro. One of my neigbors has died from it already
I got affected by the hurricane and the pop up tornadoes it produced in the outer storm bands.

How'd you lose your job ? Did Beryl speak to HR or somethin' ?
@@snowstorm7743 Laid off due to the Micheal damage forcing the clients to move.
@@RampagerBOH Gotcha . And only took me till now to realize i used the wrong hurricane name
It’s time to bunker down. Time to hide in the basement.
Hurricane Beryl ended up only being Category 1 and sped up. Only lasted a day in my area.

Also I doubt it was still a cat 5 when it got there, they lose a lot of steam as soon as they hit land
Felt like skyrim dragon shouts monday mornin😂
I know this toaster can survive swimming in pool of water but really hope she's ok with the hurricane

I went through a similar scenario. It was 3 tornados that all missed the town I live in. Didn't lose power either. Glad Zen is okay
This storm that hit Texas was not a cat 5, it was only a 1. Still knocked out power in a bunch of places though.

tbf she said she heard, not that it would be like that
Yea it fucked a lot of shit up but honestly it wasn’t the craziest hurricane
It did hit category 5 out in the ocean, and it hit Jamaica as a category 4. But it landed here in Houston as a strong category 1.
@@Kagutsuchi oh okay fair enough. i’m so used to hurricanes that i want really following it before it turned towards texas. my mistake.
I didnt have power for a week after Hurricane Sandy. Def sucked lol.
Nice hurricane placement.
Sandy was the one that hit NY and NJ
Im just out of its range where it will deal damage
It was Hurricane Sandy.
Out of Power Gang.
Average Southeast coast moment
Wouldn't she be able to slice a hurricane in half with her sword?
"is a category 5 big?" Bro. There is literally nothing larger than a category 5, that is the highest rank they can get.
Huh i thought hurricane's could go higher, unless that's only for earthquakes?
