Great video, beautiful Haworthia. I’ve recently purchased some Akadama and am looking forward to trying it out, never used it for my Haworthia before so excited to see how some of my plants do in it. Thank you for sharing with us. Happy growing 👍🏻🌵☀️🏜
What do you do about the water in the tray after you water them? Do you take them all out, empty the tray then put them all back? Sounds like a huge pain, maybe install a drain instead or do you siphon it out with a tube/hose?
Beautiful collections. What is the coarse compost that you mentioned for the main mix ? Can I use peat moss instead ? Also how do I know when to water each time ?
@@shirleygonzalez4112 Thank you for reminding me of this video. A good reminder for me to put in more akadama as the owner of our local garden centre once told me to put in 30% of akadama for the haworthias. Didn't mention soil type. I think peat moss should be okay.
can you show us your shelving with lights that is in your video. I want to get shelving but dont know what to get and how to attach lighting to shelf for indoor succulent
Yes.. it actually works. However, I personally prefer around 15-20 percent compost and no osmocote/synthetic stuff. I use liquid seaweed extract once a month in the growing period.
@@shy-guy5544 I'm a viewer and not the content creator/ owner. I'm from India and I use a mix of 3-6mm gravel 50%, 3-6mm pumice/lava cinder 25%, compost 15%, garden soil 10%. Nice to connect here. Mark @variegated gems, please continue posting. No new content since a year. We love your videos.
Hi. Great video. Very informative! Just got recommendation from other Philippines RUclips channel to check out your channel for haworthia videos. Anw, can I substitute coarse compost? I think it's not available in my country. Do u have recommendation for the substitute of coarse compost? Thank u in advance.
Hello po sir Mark Ryan, pwede po bang mag request ng Video po sana on how to do Anti Fungal and Anti Bacterial treatment po para sa mga Hawo. salamat po 😁
Hello. I used 70% acadama, 20% pumice and about 10% compost. Basta mas madami po yung acadama that I used. Is this alright? Please answer cause I'm afraid my haworthia would die 😭 Also, thank you in advance.
Glad to know I am not the only one who considers a plastic spoon an essential gardening tool.

Wow! When's the haworthia expo in Japan held?

Great video! What do you do with the used medium? Is it possible to maybe reuse?
Thank you. Do you re use the akadama from the old pots? How long before repotting did you water and when after do you water?
given there’s no or little damage due to uprooting and repotting you could water them right away or a day after 😊
When did you give water after repot im from the phillippines thank you...
Would you recommend teracotta pots for haworthia? Will the akadama dry out too fast?
Great video! I just wanted to ask, what do you do with the old substrate?

I like your white trays. Where can I buy one?
Thanks for this video! I was curious about the harwothia soil mix. Have you tried to cultivate them in water?
Nice one mark! 👍✌️
What are the measurements for the container? Thanks.
Thank you so much for the video!
What is your opinion on Peat, Vermiculite and Cococoir for haworthias ?
Greetings
dodril17 If I would incorporate either of those 3 in my soilmix. They would replace the 10% coarse compost that I’m currently using in my soilmix
Variegated Gems thank you very much!
Very interesting. I am surprised that the plants can grow well with only 10% organic matter. Have you experimented with higher percentages? Thanks
Yes.. it actually works. However, I personally prefer around 15-20 percent compost and no osmocote/synthetic stuff. I use liquid seaweed extract once a month in the growing period.
@@getsetgarden Thanks. What are your other components?
@@getsetgarden I viewed the video again and saw that you mentioned the components - sorry.

Ernelyn Limboran I haven’t tried pero mas ok pag coarse riversand sand ang gamitin if you don’t have access to either pumice or akadama
