Volbeat kicks ass. Going to see them in October at the Hollywood Paladium. I'm 58 and Volbeat are probably my favorite band who started in the 2000s. Nothing much compares to the bands I grew up with but Volbeat sure does.

I know no other band that I can claim that, every song they ever authored, is part the best collection of hit songs ever written and performed Ever. A friend of mine introduced to me to Volbeat 7 years ago...I seriously was shocked that I had not known about them earlier...their songs make me feel deep down, I can’t explain it. And I have never heard a band so on point live...so STOKED...it’s scary!!!
Did you get to meet them? I met them at Disney House of Blues in Anaheim California when they first came over. I gave Michael a CD of Elvis, he had the CD, but not the cover. He asked if he could have it. I told him I brought it for him. I asked if I could have 2 guitar picks to make earrings out of. Lena his wife at the time went inside to get them. I got to spend about 10 min. alone with Michael. Very nice man. They were not so big them, so they they would talk to you and take photos. I met Jon as well. Very nice too. I went behind the building where they entered, no one else there. After I met those two, security came out and ran me off. That night I met Anders, Thomas left early for some reason. I did go to another show and met Thomas. He was nice as well. I did portraits of them and gave them plates with the art on them. I also won a contest as best fan of VolBeat from radio station. Above Heaven Beyond Hell I won a signed CD. I made Michael a book it had photos of the night with pictures that when I met them. I cherish the photos and those earrings are worth a lot of money.

I have the opportunity to view this band in my city with VIP tickets. It’s worth the money without a doubt.
