      Hi Roshan. Rhys here.
What you want to remember when going through a past paper or proper IB Business exam is what type of question you're answering.
Generally speaking, most questions that have are 6 or more marks are the longer ones that require you to provide arguments for both sides of a question. You also need to understand the difference in keywords. For example, questions beginning with "Evaluate" or "Discuss" are usually the longest answer questions that go for 6 or more marks.
"Analyze" questions usually have 4 - 6 marks involved. Questions beginning with "State" or "Define" usually go for 1 to 3, maybe even 4 marks maximum.
For an "Evaluate" question, you need to provide an "advantages versus disadvantages" kind of answers AND provide a conclusion at the end to pick whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages and vice versa.
For "Analyze" types of questions, you only need to provide the "advantages versus disadvantages" argument but without a conclusion.
For "State" or "Define" types of questions, you literally just state or define what it is the question is asking.
So for example, if the question asks you "Analyze the usefulness of online marketing for Alibaba", all you need to do is provide one to two arguments for advantages and disadvantages of "online marketing"
Since the keyword is "analyze", you don't even need to look at how many marks the question is going for to know that you DON'T need a conclusion.
Usually, an IB Business exam will have at least one of each type of question. In most cases, the longest mark questions, the ones that need arguments and a conclusion, will come last.

      Hi Abdou. Rhys here.
The general techniques for IB Economics Paper 1 that I use are called the "DEED" and "DEEDE" tactics. Check out the link below to our website if you want some clarity on those two techniques:
