From work energy theorem, W by all forces=∆k So we applied a torque almost equal to original torque (in magnitude) in such a way that no change in kinetic energy of dipole.so total work done is conserved in form of potential energy in the dipole. Sir, if external torque is equal to the original torque, then the dipole will never move.. So , with equal torques , no work can be found out.
External torque is slightly greater than the torque acting on the dipole and it is almost equal ...so that the dipole move without acceleration
