  • Light Saber Scuba Night Dive with Orca Torch D710. Diving at night is an amazing experience. See things you wouldn't during the day and experience the underwater world in the dark, but a great dive light is a must (as is a backup secondary dive light!) Our channel was asked to review the Orca Torch D710 dive light, and Lyell took it out for a night dive at the world renowned Frederiksted Pier on St. Croix, USVI. Lyell gives a guided tour of the light functions and features and then puts it through its paces underwater! He said it felt like he was scuba diving at night with a "light saber!" In addition though he reveals that we will be giving this dive light away to one lucky subscriber.....check the video for details!

Oh yeah! Back in the water! I have the D630. OrcsTorch makes fantastic lights. Great quality and great price. Love mine.

I like that you will be showing the light in two different environments. Lighting is a challenge when filming underwater, so having these comparisons will be really helpful.

Thanks for your review, I am debating between the 710 and the D530, any thoughts? is it worth the additional lumens and smaller beam?

Nice looking torch and great videography Lyell; what camera set-up are you using?...👌🏻

Dean I was using my older SeaLife DC2000 on this dive. A great compact camera. They don’t produce it anymore but can still find some on the second hand market.

Lyell, I have the DC2000 and the wide angle dome lens myself but never manage to get the clarity and colour like you have on this video.. Are you using additional lights or strobes?…
