Awesome video brother going back to the basics is always good. New ways to do things better. Thank you for sharing stay safe and God Bless much love and respect always
Thanks. Karl It's so slick as long as your tarp or whatever is set for it loops wise. Hope hunting is going well for you my high-school buddy got a doe week ago now buck and turkey
Hi Scott, so this is a no knot Ridgeline, with prusik knots.😂 Thanks for the video. I'm off to eat my NO ham sandwich with smoked ham.😂. I'm just cracking myself up.
I think toggles are the way to go. I have yet to see a ridge line video done with cold wet hands in the dark. Everyone seems to be concerned with how fast you can take down, I’m never in that much of a rush. But quick and efficient set up when weather is coming in is a must.
Definitely and with my tarp this works great no extra stakes needed and no trying to find a stick or something. I appreciate you watching and commenting if you like what you see please subscribe also. Thank you
Absolutely! But there’s solutions to that - you can use any loop and instead of putting the rope all the way through it, just grab a bight of the long end and put a toggle in it. Holds tight and you just have to remove toggle to undo. Or you can tie a Siberian hitch - takes less time than either toggle.
you can improve this by putting the second toggle on the line just as the 1st one , leaving one prusic before the pole , take the toggle with linearound the pole and into the prusik loop. 1 prusik saved or left on the line to hang something , like a tarp? look around its online already
I did eventually this summer add toggles 2 for tarp and2 for the trees so it's easy just stretch it and tarp out and done I think I have a short video using a poncho I must have never loaded. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it.
It’s always great to have a refresher course. When you don’t use the knots that often, having a review is always nice
Thanks Mark. Your right Knots aren't like riding a bike type deal there a use it or lose deal with me anyway

Hi Scott, so this is a no knot Ridgeline, with prusik knots.😂
Thanks for the video. I'm off to eat my NO ham sandwich with smoked ham.😂. I'm just cracking myself up.
I know I know I was waiting for a comment since I wrote the description lol
It's all good bro I'm, I knew what you meant. Have a fantastic day.
Great demo, thank you 😊
Thank you I appreciate it
Good video Scott. Yes I too think that tared bankline is superior on 550 cord. I too use toggles on my Ridgeline, it just works.
Thank you I think it will work great with My tarp really easy.
cool idea, thanks
Thank you I appreciate it
Those look handy. Will have to look into getting some of those.
This is so easy it's unbelievable especially once I put 2 more toggles on for the tarp think I will share with the group
Awesome video bro
Thank you I appreciate it

Those toggles work really well, Scott. Beats feeding the entire line through a fixed loop and then feeding it back through when you are done.
Slick slick and slick lol

2023. The year of the quick deployment ridge line 😁
It seems like it
Very cool, nice to see you out of the sling, I hope your shoulder is feeling better. Take care and have a great holiday weekend.
Thank you Yes therapy is going good stretching muscle out. Have a great weekend yourself
That’s slick brother!
With my type of Tarp it's slicker than sliced bread lol. Thanks Dom
@@SDMountainMan 😂😂😂
What a beautiful place there I would love to camp there but its way out of my driving range
Right I get it My Sister is back here in state for the summer but back to Texas for the winter have to see where she lands this time and come visit
Works very well
I put the toggles on for the tarp last weekend so slick no extra pegs or stick's needed
You may think it's the same, but the way you do it is gonna be a fit for someone
Thank you Tressa. Right. Somebody might get some use out of it
prusics and toggles ... great time savers
This is going to be so fast and easy thanks Chuck
Cool
Thank you
@@SDMountainMan you're welcome
❤😊

Great, here's another yahoo doing a Ridgeline video.
Right
@@SDMountainMan jk man, great video.
Get rid of the toggles all together, and tie on prussik knots. Make em long then tie the prussik loop into a jungle knot.
I've got regular prusik on there but with this tarp loops the toggle works great no need for extra pegs or looking for stick's etc
@@SDMountainMan I wish I could explain better but Devil Dog Bushcraft has a video up where he explains the shift shackle prussik. It’s genius!
@@llEverydayCarnivorell I will have to check it out how long ago?
Hahaha, you call the video no knot ridge line and the first I saw was a knot 😂
