The adhesive part of the JSAUX cooler is actually removable and meant for those who don't have a ModCase. You can remove that part with the adhesive and it reveals a slot that neatly goes into the case's tab to firmly keep the fan in place
@@fakakdadadproductions Happy to help ! I was also puzzled (and ready to seek a refund !) when I got it and even took off the adhesive protector film trying to figure out why it didn't fit, until I found it just slid off !
@@bland9876 I tested the cooler a little bit (somewhat unscientifically). Fits on nicely now that I know the adhesive bit comes off. The cooling effect, I think, has marginal at best. Its probably not worthwhile making a big deal of it 😂
I love the JSAUX Mod Case. I always feel confident just throwing the Deck into my bag and travelling anywhere. I recommend getting the power bundle that comes with the power bank. It fits great on the back of the case with the "wrist watch" strap and is great for travelling with all your electronics. It also packs a lot of energy.
11:15 come on dude, that stand is for the steam deck dock to support the case; also you chose the cheapest version of the modcase, I own both cases and jsaux is absolutely a better buy outside of their cover which is a tad bit loose; killswitch case lacks a lot and you sort of just bypassed the modcase options like their usb hub and nvme mount
I got that same SD card for Black Friday (for my tablet, which can now hold all the 80s anime ever made!) but that's pretty much all the tech I got this BF. I did buy a ton of games. While I have a gaming PC (though pretty old at this point) and a big Steam library, it wasn't getting much attention. But getting a Steam Deck has really made me passionate about PC gaming again. I must have bought 25 games (mostly older games or somewhat recent games I've been meaning to play) in the couple months I've had a Steam Deck.
beast video bruh. i went ham on my steam deck with Accessories and all . i use it in desktop mode hooked up too a monitor at times and love that i can use my 2tb External HD on it for games n such.
Valve should really explore making their own Deck accessories! I can imagine them doing something phenomenally better than the DeckTop that you shown. I myself would love a product like that, but to have something of great quality.
I have a two source KVM of the same brand. It works great for a simple KVM to manage two desktops... but I bought all of the cables separately, so my A to A cables are a much higher quality than the included ones. I don't even use the remote since it's just mounted on my second desk where I have my work laptop and server set up.
The ultimate accessory would be a usbc hub that has usb for a wireless keyboard/mouse and power in and ability to connect to external usb c monitor to power that as well.
my steam deck lcd had no problems displaying 3 screens apart from the one in the deck with a dynabook dock, so it is probably what you said, the dock i have I think has usb 3.2, not sure
Need the DisplayLink drivers for the dock to work, but I'd personally stick to DP-ALT for Linux if I'm being honest. In my experience it doesn't need proprietary drivers.
i have used the jsaux mod case with the cooler on it and in not running the internal fan as hard i actually end up extending the battery life on the steam deck playing games
I think official drivers are for Ubuntu iirc. At least when I was running fedora I had to use an open-source driver for my laptop docking station. I'd personnal recommend DP-alt for Linux, but opinions are like... well yea
My laptop needs repairs so I'm using an MSI Claw on a dock connected to a TV, Keyboard and mouse as a desktop computer. While playing games on my OG LCD 500GB Steam Deck.
Yeah thunderbolt is a mess just like usb the thunderbolt 3 can support a single 5K monitor or dual 4K, while Thunderbolt 4 can support up to a single 8K display or dual 4K monitors as a base level Thunderbolt 4 can support up to 100W using the USB Power Delivery protocol. Thunderbolt 3 provides just 15W. Thunderbolt 4 has twice the data transfer rate for storage of version 3, up from 16Gbps to 32Gbps using PCIe Thunderbolt 4 has a feature that allows a keyboard or mouse connected to the port to wake up a system. Thunderbolt 4 has special Direct Memory Access protection. This improves security if a system is booted from a Thunderbolt 4 device, such as a disk drive. Thunderbolt 4 supports ‘Thunderbolt Alternate Mode USGB hubs and not just ‘daisy-chaining’. That allows more than just 6 devices to be connected.

@__Madcat__ Thank you so much! I had no idea it came off. This makes me so hapoy that I can use it now! You're amazing!

haha, had no idea it came off either!
JSAUX more like "Jay Sucks". I do genuinely think this is on them if so many people are having issues using the cooler.

I sort of think valve wants accessory makers to be able to profit and see Steam Deck as a profitable venture opportunity for themselves
@@shepistired That sounds pretty plausible and a mindset valve might take.

Man wish the 90 degree cable did video out.
The dock he showed in the video uses DisplayLink. It's a standard for video over USB or wireless. It needs drivers to work, and Linux is supported!

Is there a MagSafe mount for steam deck? That way, I have a second screen while I play games?

8:48 I don't see the manufacturing method should matter as long as the product works as expected, is as robust as expected and looks reasonable

Yeah the RP5 in nice.
I can't wait to play PoE 2 on my Steam Deck!
This video is all over the place
Yeah it's a little weird that one of his top picks for a steam deck accessory is literally just a whole different device...
