Having a career night against the Knicks is just NBA tradition
He had regular 30p-40p games in his last 3 years with the Wolves, but fair point
@@lm7_gio beu he didn't have regular 30+ rebound games
@@lm7_gio no he didn't lol. And definitely not with 30 rebounds lmao
I click on the video... I see it is against the knicks... "Of course, it's against the Knicks" LOL
luka did it now
Kevin Love is a prime example of making sacrifices to win a championship
I mean I would sacrifice being the number one option on a garbage team with no chance to win a championship to being a number 3 option with multiple chances to win a championship
Pun intended
@@sportstalkonly1442 many superstars don't, that's the point
People dog this man saying he wasn't good enough to make a big 3 in Cleveland...
@@hausbeever and that's on them
Minny Love was a legit All-NBA caliber player and one of the best bigs in the league. An all-time great rebounder, an efficient scorer out of the post, who could also pass and shoot middies and threes at a good clip. His defense was subpar but he wasn't a liability on that end (at least in an era without today's level of switching and pullup shooting). I remember him, Blake, and LMA as the best PFs in the league around 2012-2014.
A lot of people only started watching him in Cleveland after he slimmed down, and playing as a third option took away half his offensive game while highlighting his defensive weaknesses. They never got to see this version of him, his vacuum machine rebounding, full face-up game, or high-post passing. Only the slow-footed spotup big man getting roasted by speedy guards. It's easy to think that he was always that player and not much more.
He wasn't. Any Timberwolves fan will tell you that much. I don't think history will be kind to Kevin Love, but at least I know what his peak looked like. The heart and soul of an era in Minnesota, dominating bygone times that will never come back. I miss the guy a lot.
Damn you're so emotional. What a pu$$y
I remember back in those days wishing the Celtics would try to get kl to go with pierce and if. Love was a beast.
Definitely the glimmer of hope during that era, at least after Rubio's injury after the great start he had in his rookie season. No one mastered rebounding quite like Love did, beyond elite and a phenomenal shooter by the standards of that era
People forget how good he was in his prime
How long was his prime because ive forgotten how good he was?
@@JP-wu8ek tbh idk but i know he was very good people only remember the washed love that was on the cavs in 2015
@@koberwyant6255 in 2015 he wasn’t that bad
@@koberwyant6255 he wasn’t washed he was the third option so he was gonna sacrifice the most
HE STILL THAT GOOD THEY JUST TAKE HIM OUT THE POST AND PUT HIM AT THE 3 PT LINE HE'S STILL THAT GOOD
Man averaged 26/13/4 one season with great shooting. Kevin Love was great on the Timberwolves
he was great on Cavs too, but ppl forgot how much he sacrificed for the team.
he was good on the cavs too its just lebron fans are freaks
This was the season where he average 20ppg and 15rpg and won MIP
@@WAmos-rn1cz people forget every player that played with LeBum ahaha
Minnesota Love was just one of the best bigs of the league.
One of the best players at the time, actually
Statistically** but this was the time when roy hibbert was considered to be a top 3 big so twas pretty weak imo
@@whipdauziout7478 prime love would be a top 5 big in todays NBA and top 3 center
@@flame3994 that is not true
@@flame3994 he's not better than embiid, jokic, giannis, AD, KAT, bam, and siakam. Stop reachin
This game wasn’t on local TV in Minneapolis. My roommate and I made a last minute decision to go to the game. Got cheap tickets and snuck down by the court (middle of the week in super cold with two really bad teams). Best random decision I’ve ever made. What a great performance to see live.
Are you the Tyler Peterson on Cariuma
cheap tickets...... there is no such thing.
compare NHL NFL NBA and baseball tickets to a ticket to watch a football match in europe.
you pay between 30-100 depending on the stadium in europe and get an average seat
whats a cheap ticket in the nba..... 300$ ? they seat you at the top in the back row
resale tickets are like 40-200$ a beer is 5-12$ parking is 5-25$
boston new york and miami.......35$ to park your car?

Those were legit rebounds also. Not cherry picked or gifted by teammates.
to be fair some of them clearly were relented by teammates but thats the only way youre getting 31 damn rebounds in a game lmao. but he had such good timing on his jumps especially for the offensive boards, so impressive
I forgot how different a game of basketball looked like even not that long ago...

The real change really happened around 2017-2018, after Curry and the Warriors proved to the world that a jumpshooting team with a score first point guard could be a contender every year, that’s when all the league started shooting way more 3´s, averaging more points, using Small Ball lineup and when almost all the Top 10 players were guards/wings (Bron, Curry, Kd, Harden, Kawhi, Westbrook, Dame ..), that’s also when old players like Kobe, Duncan, KG, Dirk, Wade, Tony Parker ect retired so it’s only been like 5 years that’s why i find it funny when people say things like Lebron played in a sift era when he played since 2003, in the lowest scoring era with the slowest pace against prime Kobe, Duncan, KG, Dirk, Wade, Iverson, Steve Nash, Dwight Howard, Jason Kidd, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billups ect
True, NBA got boring after until the 2021 - 2022 season
One of the most underrated star of NBA
Wolves K.Love was a different animal, yet the same beast. Such a forgotten Prime.
Facts
LeFacts
Kevin Love was a monster on the boards at that time, it was a pleasure to watch even though Minnesota didn't achieve anything great with that roster. Unfortunately, Love then became a pretty boring three point shooter (like almost every big in the League) as his career went on and on.
Michael Beasley's first year in Minny he was really starting to develop into something like we saw at KSU, after that sheesh....dude had all the talent in the world.
Him and Love were a pretty good scoring duo
I didn't knew that Kevin Love was that damn good
ow
he was until he played with Bron and was forced into being a role player
@@matthieusaade3616 well yah Love over Bron as a first option would be ridiculous
I remember this game. This is probably Love's greatest highlight.
there’s also the time he dropped 34 in one quarter

Classic game
Ill performance from K. Love
Kevin love is so underrated
Watch it before he becomes the x factor for miami championship 2023
Loved kevin love was big like this and that whole core was mad fun to play with in 2k
One of the most insane performance of all time
This was the version of KL that i became a fan.
Man this is the kevin love i first heard about😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
This stat is so difficult to replicate and so under appreciated.
When you drop more rebounds than points people assume you are just a rebounder, but Kevin Love was a beast
Image westbrook and kevin love on the same team, going for free defensive rebound.
"finally a worth opponent. Our battle will be legendary"
Wolves K.Love was a different Beast.
reason i always try to be teammates with love in mycareer, guy is great rebounder and shooter
prime Kevin love was so good bruh
History always being made on the knicks lol
Knicks or Atlanta.
man basketball looked so much better those days
How many records have been dropped on the Knicks? I wonder what team leads the league in records dropped on them.
Kevin Love was so good, and to sacrifice stats to get a ring is him being unselfish as well. He spent 6 years in Minnesota and wanted a chip, can't blame him
What a performance
Kevin Love Minnesota UNSTOPPABLE 🔥💪💪
I've been waiting for this 30 for 30
He was in hall of fame mode
There is reason why K love is a Olympic gold medallist and he helped lebron with a championship in 2016
My favorite player! Still though!
Crazy because I just watched this yesterday and y’all drop it today?😭😭
meant to be
LOVE IS JUST WCUBA LEVEL
Such a weird player, not only one of the best shooting bigs in the league but also one of the best offensive rebounders in the league
The offensive rebounding is why I enjoyed watching him play more than KAT
This is unreal
He was a monster I still feel like he should have never lost all that weight it seemed to make him less effective
this is what inspired espns 30for30
That double dribble was right infront of the ref
Not actually a double dribble, when Beasley passed him the ball he didn't catch it very well and he doesn't have the clear possession of the ball, then he grabbed it two hands and giving him a chance to dribble.
Boy he was young. High socks Love
Prime kevin love
I get notifications of the score for all the 4 major sports NY teams every quarter/period/3 innings. I usually just peek and clear it. The final score came in as I was getting off the train after working late, and it had Kevin Love's stat line right under it. I was thinking to myself that had to be a typo. As I get on the escalator I click on it and sure enough there it was detailed. I remember saying to myself "who the hell was guarding Kevin Love tonight?!?!"
and it was like a tyson chandler too that was crazy bc he won dpoy that year
Thicc Kevin Love was diff
3:57 right infront the ref
I dont think he had possession of the ball the first time the ball bounced.
The chubby kevin love, need to see this in cavs uniform💪
Prime Love needs an NBA 2K23 card
Congrats KEVIN LOVE your the best Timberwolve I’ve seen besides K TOWN ANTHONY EDWARDS AND NEW SUPER STAR RUDY GOBERT AND MINNESOTA IS MY SECOND HOME BESIDES PHILADELPHIA PENNSYLVANIA
It weird part of me wishes that he still was a number one option, his individual stats would be insane
man used to a beast

When Kevin Love dominated the nba.. the best 40 win team ever 😅
Lol he never dominated the NBA he was on a mediocre team which made him stand out but never dominated the NBA
@@trentonpearson196 you can’t read my sarcasm 😅
@@rebelsoup1947 apparently others couldn't either, people in the comments are saying he was a superstar 😂
And fans of LeBron made it sound like he's just a role player. Yes, his stats suffered so much after joining Bron but he played like a superstar before joining him.
This version of Kevin Love was a beast
Chris Smoove : Kevin Luuuuvvvvvv
31 rebounds, very impressive
Darko Milicic in the background wondering what went wrong lol
An alternative triple double
When i see videos claiming the Lebron/Kyrie/Love Cavs "were not a superteam" i laugh my a$$ off. People forget Love was a 26p/13r guy for the Wolves while shooting almost 50/40/85%.
Darko Milicic was on the T-Wolves at this point apparently lol
Put some respect on this man’s name
Back when team actually run plays, nowadays everyone just jacking up 3. Team averaging 25 3 a game now
Back when Kevin sported a buzz cut. It always looked like he was about to do dirty work.
Kevin love>
Try breaking that team rebound record in NBA2K
he shoulda never lost the weight
Jokic before Jokic
This was my favorite nba 2k team Wesley Johnson was a cheat code
Overweight love > Shooter love
Might be time to make a big man in 2k
I miss big K Love :(
Bosh and Love took the same path
Good video
This was before he broke his hand over a fist pushup
31 rebs is very impressive
Fat K Love was 🔥
That's why the old saying goes that the 12th man on an NBA team is closer to MJ than the average Joe is to them.
People don't know about this Kevin love ... They only want to remember him as a spot up shooter on the cavs
Its against the Knicks so its really like 13 and 13 lol
people forget lebron had a legit big 3 in cleveland
they always says kyrie and lebron but someone had to sacrifice
they had 3 superstars no doubt
Kevin Love played with a true pass first player in Rubio and was a first time ballot hofmer. He went to play with a fake pass first player in LeBron and now he might not make it to the Hof. Lol
When Kevin Love was in Minnesota he seemed like he was 6’10
CLEVELAND TOOK THIS MAN FROM HIS BREAD AND BUTTER BEING IN THE POST...TO KEEP HIM AT THE 3 PT LINE ALL GAME SMH
K Love reach Duncan status on the T-Wolves, dude was putting up great numbers on high efficiency every night and it just became the norm so people weren’t talking about it much lol
No where near duncan lol love was putting numbers but losing alot and did nothing in the playoffs thats why Minnesota traded him not good as the star gets you nowhere 😂
Nah cause 31 rebounds is insane💀
Cool well played athlete
Good teamworks performance
Basketball🏀❤🇺🇸
I think he also has the most consecutive no of games with a double double.
Dude playing like wilt in 68
Pride of Lake Oswego 🫡 but I’m from SE so fuck em
Okay but 31 rebounds….(him) 🤧
its sad that Twolves wasted this mans prime years.. Sad to see then a organization fails the common basics to surround their best player with good role players
I miss the Wolves when Love and Rubio were the main force.
Man look at the score lol. The Wolves needed every point and rebound to win. 💀
Steph Curry should have been on that team.
Minnesota is a place where HOF turn into nobody when they leave for another team. (Garnett, Love)
