My father was an Army paratrooper in WWII, what would be considered spec ops today. He jumped with 101st and 82nd, serving behind enemy lines. He raised my brothers (one of which served in the Navy during Vietnam) and I to understand that it is because of men and women who do things many would condemn that we are free to live our lives. My respect, gratitude, and hope for the safe return for all of these men and women that they may know the peace and freedom they have fought for.

I'm married to a retied air force vet and my dad did his 20 yrs in the air force also. May my dad rest in peace. The men and women who serve in the United States Military give their hearts and souls to serve and protect this wonderful country we live in. America has and will be always Great. I am very very proud of all our military forces. We must remember to always thank them for their service. Some come back to us that have been hurt in many ways. Their bodies could be changed forever and some with injuries from the neck up. Always remember they have memories that most of us cannot comprehend. Be proud of them! America will always be great. Apparently you have never heard of the SAS, which the OD-A and OD-Ds were modeled after. The SAS is the LEADING special warframe group int he world and have set the standard since WW2. This isn't to say the american units aren't amazing at what they do. Each of the different units have their strong suits for their different missions, but don't let their excellence and prestige blind the truth that, even with all their training, there is an outside force they all look up to.
yes but the dont have access to all the tech that the US special forces do but nonetheless the SAS and SBS are pretty badass
Heather Mackay Sorry but you can't really say SAS are better just because years and years ago a few teams were modeled after them. You have to think now not back then. I'm not saying any team is better than another just letting you know.
Heather Mackay Thats why on INSANE joint operations delta works with SAS or Seals work with SAS...The U.S obviously has easier access to tech, but that doesn't mean you guys don't have the tech itself..we just have ALOT more of it
Heather Mackay SAS are most definitely bad-ass, but you're out of your gaddamn mind if you're going to say that SAS are the worlds premier bad-asses since WW2 because The USMC has been the baddest of baddies for the last 200 years.

I was a ranger and what was your mos and when were in it
11B1P and I was to young to make it to Nam, enlisted in apr of 77-80, when I turned 17, so no combat, thou I would have followed my brother in who served in the 5th group SF in country, I was to young to sign up for Sf directly, but they put me on post at Ft Bragg and said I could transfer to SF soon as I turned 18. they lied !! the 82nd don't let go till you re-up. I got pissed and decided to be a rock star !! when my 3 was up. had an EMI one record contract, but that's another story. you got my respect for serving, especially in a Ranger Batt. I respect SEALs but... this is in reference to US Special Forces. The only 'Special Forces,' in the USA are the "Green Berets."

AMERICA FIRST me to the previous video special forces, the only sf are the green beret , I'm not sure what delta are classified as. if they even are. IL say one thing I was deployed with the 23 meu , USMC we are a soc unit and I had the honor of fighting next to 1st marine recon marines and those men are savage, saved my ass on numerous occasions. there not as recognized as other spec opp units which is the way they like it. my opinion they are the best of the best. I'm not saying that because I'm a marine it's because I've seen seals in action and Iv seen recon hands down I'd want to be next to a recon marine one man army. like machines not human. it's amazing to witness, but don't get me wrong seals greens delta guys are very very good at what they do and are very affective. and would lay my life down for anyone of them just like they would. we are all brothers that bleed green. as long as there are battles to be faught they will be there. won't be seen or heard no newspaper articles no publicity which is the way they want it. they do there job to free oppressed people's and free nations most important to protect our freedom our country. so thank you brothers you are most appreciated and the whole nation owes there lives to you men. Guys tell me if this is a good plan I want to join the Army Rangers from there go to the 75reg and after 3-4 years hopefully be selected to got to the Delta Force selection course??
+DSR Games if you want to skip over the regiment and go straight to SF you can go to the SFAS, then if you pass do the 45 weeks of training at the qualification course to become a Green Beret, then maybe you will get selected from the Green Beret to join Delta.

Colton Olson no Marsoc and Force Recon are two different things, Marsoc Marines are called the Marine Raiders and operate under SOCOM, Force Recon is mainly deep reconnaissance and operates under the command of a MAGTF (Marines Air-Ground Task Force).
Special Operations forces have been the tip of the spear for more than ten years now. Training afghan police forces, conducting insurgent activity, bringing taliban and Al-Qauda to justice. Can I get a helicopter gunship for support now?
Tier 1:
Navy- Devgru (Seal Team Six)
Army- Delta Force (CAG)
Air Force- 24TH STS
Marines- Doesn't have a Tier 1
Spec Ops:
Navy- Navy Seals
Army- Green Berets
Air Force- CCTs and PJs
Marines- Force Recon

I'll name plenty that some of those units can do better than SEALs: unconventional warfare, deep reconnaissance, HUMINT gathering (spy work), SIGINT gathering, and as Just Cause proved, the Rangers are the better choice for large-scale assaults/airfield seizures.

There has been alot of talk about MARSOC and MFR being together, and from Marines I've talked to it's a negative. Most MARSOC operators come from Recon, however are two totally different operation forces. MARSOC specializes in DA operations while Recon is putting their focus on deep surviellince and intel gathering, along with killing/capturing HVT's. They way there set up makes them seem like they're together but there really not. They don't even share the same camps for where I'm stationed at

Russian had special forces also, they just launched the major offencive with a full Battalion against the Kurds in Syria, last month. Today there are hundreds of job openings in Russia for replacement soldiers and their special forces Battalion with Wagner of Russia.
