    Wish I heard about this game years ago, looks amazing. I must ask if this is the same game just under a different name? All I could find was Professional Farmer: Cattle and Crops. If so maybe change the title slightly or add it into the description so people can find it easier.

    Giants should indeed focus a bit more on realism even if it's locked under normal-hard modes. The sandbox casual approach gets boring fast.

      I completely agree! Adding more realism, especially in higher difficulty modes, would make the game much more engaging and rewarding. It’s the kind of depth that keeps players hooked. What specific features or mechanics would you like to see them improve?

      @esoplays1997 definitely deeper precision farming, more realistic seasons with drought and humidity levels, realistic three point hitch, realistic vehicle control, etc. :)

    When this game was announced I thought Farming Simulator was finished. But FS has come a very long way since then. FS is still not as fully realistic as this but it makes up for it in other areas.

    • @esoplays1997
      @esoplays1997  14 дней назад

      Completely agree! FS has made massive strides since this game came out, especially in terms of variety with machinery, activities, and overall options for players. However, I still feel like FS, despite its progress, has become a bit stagnant-it lacks the depth and realism you’d expect given how long the series has been evolving. Now imagine if Cattle and Crops or something similar were to relaunch today with updated tech and those incredible simulation features polished-how revolutionary that could be for farming games. It would truly challenge FS to step up even further!

      @@esoplays1997 Well you also have to keep in mind that the FS audience is very broad. It's already a fairly complicated game as it is and the developers still have to make the game accessible for casual players just as much as hardcore fans.

    Even Farming Dynasty was better. This is a clear showcase that the general public who plays Farming Simulator favours a bad product.

      Totally agree with you! It’s frustrating to see potential overlooked because the mainstream audience sticks with familiarity. Farming Dynasty definitely had its charm!

    im not sure a running animation and furrows left by a plough make Professional Farmer a better game. There is far more to FS 25 than Professional Farmer. Mod support is amazing in FS games, Professional Farmer has nothing. FS games are multiplayer which is really fun with friends, Professional Farmer has nothing. No doubt Professional Farmer could have been a great game but it was abandoned. Id rather play a game that has long term support. I could still play FS 15 if i wanted and have updated mods for example. Yes Giants can be lazy with certain things in the FS games, but the modding community usually fixes that.

    • @esoplays1997
      @esoplays1997  14 дней назад

      I get where you're coming from with the modding support and multiplayer in FS games, but that doesn't necessarily make it the better simulation. FS might have quantity, but for realism, the ground deformation and tractor handling in Professional Farmer are much more advanced. The furrows and the tractor animations in FS always seem flat, almost like they were drawn in. Also, I agree with you that support is important, but sometimes I’d prefer a game that focuses more on the realism and mechanics, even if it doesn’t have the same long-term community support. It’s not just about mods; it’s about the core experience for me."

    agrar was also good. even with fs25 there is no ground deforming, just a 2d plane with some better textures and some physics applied.

    • @esoplays1997
      @esoplays1997  14 дней назад

      Exactly! Agrar had some great ideas, and it’s crazy that even with FS25, we still don’t have proper ground deformation. It’s just improved visuals with a flat surface, which feels like a missed opportunity for true simulation.

    Simulation the professional farming is way better, talks about realism. Also, realism dont mean easy, and quite difficult to pick up. Maybe thats why FS is more popular, since they are bigger company and promoting their franchise

    • @esoplays1997
      @esoplays1997  14 дней назад

      I completely agree! The simulation aspects of Professional Farming truly stand out when it comes to realism. It’s challenging, but that’s what makes it engaging. FS’s popularity might be due to the massive budget and resources Giants Software has for promotion and development. Imagine if Professional Farming had the same financial backing-its potential could have been incredible!

    Even tough the idea of CnC was very cool to farming and realism enthusiasts it never came anywhere close to beating FS. The only way to beat FS is to exactly copy FS and bring new content faster than Giants does. The formula Giants has with the FS series is unbeatable and if they just were a bigger studio and could implement more things in less time there isn't anything that can beat it.
    The things you compare in the video makes me feel you never played FS xD Could as well just taken the agrar simulator series and say it beats FS xD

    • @esoplays1997
      @esoplays1997  14 дней назад

      I see where you're coming from, but I have to disagree. While FS has its strengths, it still lacks in areas of depth and realism, especially given how far gaming technology has come. CNC tried to bring more simulation-focused features like soil analysis and realistic vehicle physics-something FS still struggles with even in its latest iteration. It's not just about copying FS but pushing boundaries to create a more immersive farming experience. There's definitely room for a competitor to improve where FS falls short. What specific features do you think FS has that make it unbeatable?

    If i wanted realism i would go buy a tractor

    But here so many points are simply completely ignored. First of all, the game had a horrible performance by then. The graphics were not and remain the best. In Cattle at Crops, how many vehicles and attachments were there? 15? Cattle and Crops wanted a lot... too much and failed at that. You're addressing the dynamic ground, but what can I tell you, most people would find it cool in the beginning if it was the same in the LS, but it would be extremely annoying after a while. You have to think clearly economically and that's what Giants did and so in my eyes everything right.

    • @esoplays1997
      @esoplays1997  14 дней назад

      I see your point, and I agree that Cattle and Crops had its fair share of issues, like limited equipment and performance problems, which ultimately hurt its potential. Giants Software has indeed made the right moves economically by focusing on broader accessibility and gameplay that appeals to a wide audience.
      However, I still think it's worth noting that Cattle and Crops was ahead of its time in certain aspects, like the dynamic ground and field work. Take the plowing and tire tracks, for example-those details were impressive seven years ago, while Farming Simulator is only just now catching up, and even then, it's far from perfect.
      I agree that FS has advanced significantly, especially with the sheer variety of equipment and activities. But I still find it frustrating that basic elements, like realistic character movement or more detailed fieldwork mechanics, haven't been refined, especially considering the massive revenue Giants generates. It feels like there's a lot of room for improvement that hasn't been prioritized. Imagine if a modern version of Cattle and Crops were released with today’s technology-it could push the whole genre to the next level."

    the AI voice is jarring to listen to, and most of these features hardly make it a better game, I don't care about walking into a building to click on a bed.
    The main thing is, the best thing about Farming Sim is the modding community. Without mods the game wouldn't be 1/3 as good as it is. Mods essentially add all of the features mentioned in this video.
    All Giants need to do is give is a new engine with better graphics, lighting, and shadows to beautify it a bit.
    But I do agree, there is no competition in this space, which is why Giants are able to released a half-arsed game and let the modding community make it enjoyable.

      "Fair point on the graphics, but FS definitely excels in terms of content, mechanics, and the sheer scale of what you can do. The visuals may not always be the most realistic, but the gameplay experience is hard to beat with all the machines, maps, and farming options they provide. It’s all about the overall experience!
