P&O Britannia - Day 1 - Embarkation

- Well hello there!
Join us as we venture aboard Britannia - a P&O Cruises ship setting sail from Southampton as we journey to Glasgow on a 2021 staycation cruise!

We begin the day by making our way to the ship before checking out our Balcony Cabin. We really liked the room, it was light, airy, spacious, clean, and modern, with plenty of plugs too! The balcony was quite narrow; but there was plenty of room to sit on the deck chairs and watch the views of the ocean.
For lunch we decided to pop to the Horizon buffet for a quick bite to eat before visiting the Sunset Buffet for a cheeky cocktail.
We didn’t realise that we weren’t due to depart until gone 10pm, so we decided to have a chilled evening walking around the ship and just taking in some view points from outside; including the view point from Deck 19.

Can I ask what camera you use please? It’s so small and compact, didn’t know they came like that!! 🤷♀️
I'm considering P&O for my first ever cruise. What provider did you use for your cruise insurance I read its a requirement.
Hey. We used Holiday Extras as recommended by P&O. Purely for ease and the fact they covered everything that P&O required.

hi guys. Do you have to mask up all the time on board out of the cabin?
Hi,
We did have to for this trip back in 2021, but unsure if they have changed their restrictions or not now. So I’m not sure if you still have to.
When at a bar etc, as soon as we sat down we were able to remove our masks.
Was on the Britannia in July. No masks and no restrictions, passengers packed into lifts, bars and restaurants. Very difficult to avoid catching Covid, unfortunately I tested positive on the day of disembarkation.
