Those were some of the best tractors on the market! The 2-135/2-155 rear end lasted up almost to the end of the silver tractors in the late 90’s. Great, tough, design! Great video!!!
Thank you for this video. I am 46 now and when I was a teenager we ran only White tractors on our family dairy farm. We had a 2-70, 2-85, 2-105 and 2-135 on the farm, along with a 8600 combine any many White implements like plows and disc harrows. My grandfather operated a White dealership in addition to the dairy farm in South Alabama.
You sir, have made my heart happy today. My great uncle farmed in the early 80s with a White 2-85 just like the first tractor in your video. I remember being little more than a toddler and walking behind as he cut hay just like this (although it was a haybine instead of a disc mower). Seeing that tractor here takes me right back to being a child surrounded by the wonderfully sweet smell a diesel and freshly cut hay. I’m sure others feel the same way I do when they see tractors from their youth. Keep up the good work. Thanks for preserving great tractor history, and a big part of my childhood.
as a young kid growing up on the farm we had oliver tractors, started out with grampas 66 and 77 tractors then my dad bought his first new one witch was an oliver 1655 back in 1972 then he bought a new 2-105 white field boss, we were in hog heaven cause it had a cab with ac and later he bought a white 2-70 that was kinda new that was used at the iowa state fair that pulled wagons of people around, right after we got it we had to put a clutch in it, so far it is still belongs to our family, my dad had bought a few other oliver tractors such as 2 1755s and 2 1855s and 1 1955 that was sold at the estate early this spring, sorry to see then go
@@bigtractorpower we also had 2 1650s, one had a narrow front end that i though was pretty cool that was used for raking hay cause it turned sharp, we then put a wide front end on it. now that i'am farming on my own, i run ih and case ih tractors, my first tractor was a 986 that i still own and a case ih jx95 and a mx135 that are still in use today
Always good to see older equipment being ran. Especially forage harvesting. I've spent hours watching new equipment darting up and down fields spitting heaps of green into huge tipper trailers. Thanks for the great video 👍
Use to be lots of White equipment in our area. Dealer Ship was right in town. Our neighbour has a 2 - 85 and our cousins have a 2 - 60 and a 2 - 70 . Thank you for the video.
Those rear housings were modified for a Funk powershift i believe around '92. After AGCO dropped White those rears was around for 1 series of the AGCO tractors which was dropped around 2009.
I spent a lot of time on a 2- 105 when I was in high school. A variety of tillage equipment, a 479 New Holland haybine, New Holland Super 717 chopper and a John Deere 336 baler where some of the jobs that I did with the 2-105.
When we still had the dairy cattle we had a 2-135 that would occasionally pull a gehl 800 chopper but usually would run the forage blower. It pulled the diskbine and did our tillage as well.
@@bigtractorpower the 4-150 I bought used with around 2 thousand hours on it when I graduated high school about 30 years ago been a great tractor the 2-150 work in progress bought around 6 years ago but runs great

Ben Schmidt as an owner of a 2-105. I can tell you he's probably going slow because the seat sucks. Or it could be because he's on camera and wanted to go slower.
Those Whites are such great looking machines. I’ve been using all 3 models available for Farming Simulator 19. I would’ve liked to have seen more of that forage wagon unloading, to see exactly how the unloading mechanism works.

Impressive line up. I have an 8600 combine filmed harvesting corn to share here on the channel soon.
Any video with white tractors always gets a thumbs up.I love White tractors!
Grew up on Olivers and then Whites. They did all the farm work.
Seconded
Man that 100 and 145 make a sexy pair. Ide love to have a 120 FWA one of these days.
👍👍. It’s always fun finding silver classics like these.

I have a 1983 White 2-135. New to me last year. I use it on a disc mower, round baler, and my snowblower . I like it so far.
Funny you mentioned a snowblower. I was just thinking that BTP should film a tractor while snowblowing during this video.
We had a White 2-105 when I was a kid. It was a great tractor.
We have quite a few White's that we still use. We have a 2-70, American 80, 6125, 2-135, and a 2WD 195.
2wd 95?! Holy crap! That’s a unicorn

White tractors and forage harvesting make for a great video in my book. Good job, as always!
Thank you for watching. I enjoy your channel. Wheat harvest with the 8570 and 2255 was awesome. So was the 2-155 planting cover crops.
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words!
I have my favorites but I really enjoy the variety you put out there for us.
I try to cover all the brands and decades. It’s fun tracking these machines down.
Mostly green and red tractors where I’m from but back in the day, there was a few Whites. I always thought they were a nice looking tractors.
What a lovely setting to this farm.

I disagree. I say they’re better. They’re the natural evolution of the Olivers. Everything they could’ve been
