    In order to calculate the current gain, first we have to determine both io and ii.
    This is done, in my opinion, by using the impedances zi and zo and ohm's law. Therefore, ii = vi / zi, and io = vo / zo.
    By doing the fraction in Ai, we will have the answer of around 61.

    Then
    Ai=(Av*Zi)/Zo
    Ai=(216.1*619.55)÷2.08k
    Ai=64.37
    Approximately also we can calculate
    RL is infinite
    ro

    since Rb>=10(beta+1)re and ro>=10Rc therefore Ai=beta..which is 60

    io=ic because you should remember that in the original circuit that's the current at the output:
    Ai=(Beta*RB*ro)/(ro+Rc)(RB+Beta*re)

    In general if we don't consider simplification then current gain=56.74
    And if simplification is considered i.e. here Rb>>10(beta+1)re & ro>>10Rc then Current gain= beta=60

      If we consider parallel combination of r0 and Rc then the current gain is 59.86 and it's 56.74 when only Rc is considered. But don't know what should be the exact concept.

    There is no load across the output. As a result, there will be no output current. So the current gain will be Ai= 0/i(input current)=0.
    or we can consider the R(load) as infinity. Then if we put the value on formula, we will get the Current gain 0.

    Actually, you must take io as current passing through Rc....Not the io explained by the lecturer...Refer boylsted page no. 287...io is taken as current passing through Rc..

    Ai = beta...which is given 60 ( because of (ro>=10*Rc) and (RB>=10*beta*re).

    Sir in calculating voltage gain you only considered rc for output voltage while it should be ro||rc.

    as load is not given then output current (Io)=Ic and we know that Ic=(beta)Ib.
    now , current gain (Ai)=Io/Ii=Ic/Ib=(beta)
    therefore current gain = 60;

    I'm feeling a bit slow here, by with no load resister RL, there would be no output current, so isn't the current gain zero (that's what the derived formula Ai would suggest).

      If follow the lecture, according to his io, if RL is open circuited, io =0 always and hence Ai=0
