    Anything to keep you warm isn’t cheating
    You have a single walled tent, no heater and the tent is frosty..I say go for anything that keeps you warm!
    Hopefully it was a nosy sheep that knocked your camera over!
    A good flashlight is always wise to bring when camping especially when alone
    Great video and take care 🇨🇦❤️

    I’ve been looking at the 3FUL stuff, what do you think of the build quality? The night lapse looked great. If you filmed it on a GoPro, what settings did you have it on?👍🏻

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  8 месяцев назад +2

      3 FUL make some decent gear. Take the Lanshan, one of the most popular tents on the market and thus new bag is great. The early model failed and had some issues but the new one seems good so far. Gopro settings are 4k, wide lense, video format, auto interval, 30 second shutter, no limit duration, high bit rate, 4000k white balance, ISO min and max at 1600, low sharpness and natural colour. Annoying I missed out on half the night with what happened 🙄

    Ive just started winter wild camping and I take a digital thermometer, mostly so i can show off to friends how tough i am but the lowest I camped at was -1 and was 3 degrees inside the tent. Do you measure temp. inside your tent?

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  8 месяцев назад +1

      I normally use my sensor blue which is digital and links to your phone with Bluetooth and will monitor the temp throughout the whole night but I took it on my bailed camp last week and as I didn't camp I didn't empty all my gear after and forgot to take the battery out so it was dead this time 🙄

    I think the lowreed power torch has more focus beam, I personally like a wide full beam without an halo and over focused spot even if it throws less.

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  7 месяцев назад +2

      Yeah I get that. I love the more centred throw like a beam on the torch even if it's less useful for general use. Still seems way more powerful than they claim though. Both good torches for different reasons. I've got a beast of a torch coming up soon 👍

  • @ruairidhalexander7631
    @ruairidhalexander7631 8 месяцев назад +1

    Clearly the lower lumen torch has a more focused beam, so comparing them based on lumens is pointless. You need to look at lux instead of lumens.

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  8 месяцев назад +1

      Exactly why I said, it's not a direct competition but an interesting comparison about lumens and if you want focused beam then the thrunite is the one or if you want more spread then the sofirn. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @NoviceWildCamper
      @NoviceWildCamper  8 месяцев назад +2

      Because I'm filming with different cameras I use power banks. My phone stays in my pocket so is always warm but I was using the DJI pocket 3 on this one with extended battery handle and it lasted the whole time filming without. Charging. I'd always recommend taking a power bank as you need a phone at least for emergencies. Got to be safe 👍 cheers for watching though and glad you enjoyed it.

I can't believe how cold it got and so quickly - we just don't have that here unless we're up a mountain in the depths of winter. Normally we boil, not freeze. You can also get Vests that are heated the same way. I like the coat your wearing also. I have found in the winter that normal straight butane or propane isnt very effective, a 4 season Iso butane/propane mix does give a noticeable difference in the colder temperatures. Im using one of those portable gas camping stoves, its all i have atm. On the lower settings you do have to watch the flame doesn't blow out, as it happens sometimes. The lighter i will look into. God Bless you.
