There is a quality in your videos in my view unmatched by any other sailing channel. Whether this is your camera, post processing, pure camera skills or just Norway, I do not know. Stunning videography.
This video hurts my heart. So beautiful! And lovely seeing you guys interact a bit more too - in your element. I like thinking of it as an alternate reality for myself. Haha! Really really lovely, guys. Thank you for your hard work and sharing this beauty with everyone. (And by the way, I'm the guy in Berlin who bought one of your photos recently, and it looks amazing!
Always the women rowing. Great work again. Music. Film. Everything. Beautiful glimpse of Norwegian unique beauty: the grandeur & the simplicity. I always love the cold still waters. And you Scandanavians are delightful. This was exceptionally done.
❗️❗️❗️SUPERB DRONE FOOTAGE ❗️❗️ Absolutely incredible video of the rock formations ❗️ When you flew the drone away and exiting the rock cliffs and revealed the amazing size of that cavernous split in the stone “mountain “ it took my breath away !! I have NEVER viewed a more perfect scene ❗️ If you ever seek employment, which I doubt will happen......I can PROMISE you will have to beat away the offers ❗️ I don’t have the correct words to describe my feelings 👍🔥
Your both amazing an quite inspiring to me... I admire the drive you both have, in everything you do ! Thanks for sharing your life with us! Fare winds an following sea's ✌🏻💗☺️❣️ By the way did u make jam with the Cloud Berry's? Or just eat them as is?
Hey , we call the cloud berries “bake apples” here in Newfoundland and Labrador. And you can preserve them by making ‘jam ‘ out of them. Delicious. You can do it on your boat on the stovetop...
Helgeland just went to the top of my go solo kayaking for weeks list. Thanks a bunch. Love the videos. Love the music too, you have great taste. Could you perhaps post the music you used here?
Your cloudberries remind me of the wild raspberries that me and my brothers and sisters used to pick as children growing up n VT. Please send some to me. ;)
my swedish language instructor at U.T. ( univ. texas) told us about famous cloudberries... ( aphrodesiac?) nova scotia , canada has raspberries and blueberries,.. mm good..
Hi, I've never seen this before, so before I go on and go to bed, you deserve a mylte, hjortron, cloudberry remark: Anyone that would come to me with a gift of cloudberries that large will be my friend for life. I grew up in the north, in the polar circle region, and those are the second tastiest berries on the planet, and very rare. The best are even more rare than these, and I only know the name in my language. Åkerbär (if you consult the other Lakka, not the one made from cloudberries, the bluer -red kind, you should find the name in Finnish on them, if they are still around. I've only ever seen those maybe three or four times in my life and nowhere near as many as these. Maybe a handful either time, even if we looked for more. Cloudberries can be made to last at least a full year, and maybe more, if you douse them in sugar (check a recipe for amounts), and then let sit and wait for their own juices to appear. Put them in clean glass jars with a tight fitting lids and store. Warm gently and eat with ice cream at very special occasions. They are that rare. And expensive. You want to keep them even longer? Check with Lakka about their liqueur recipe. I have it from reliable sources that they have it down pat. You were quite the nature filmer back then too, but I probably don't have to tell you. I might put in some explanation that most people don't count the few meters south of the Arctic Circle as the south. But it's south I give you that. I only ever saw you in the large red boat you were boat sitting for somebody, so all these travels with Sylvia happened before my time. I'm going to have a good time whilst waiting for your next post on your Northeast passage. Yours, Ann
Salmon farming. An incredibly environmentally destructive method of farming. The genetically altered salmon are fed all kinds of anti-biotics because of infectious salmon anemia, below the cages the sea-floor is destroyed by sea-lice, and the escaped salmon interbreed with real salmon, thus endangering the real salmon stocks. Their feed includes fish meal made with salmon too, thus basically making them cannibals. Farmed salmon are tasteless, oversized, anti-biotic laden Frankenfish. The practice of farming fish in sea-pens should be banned and it should only be allowed on land in large tanks.
Heat them slowly ( no boiling, just heating) in a pan with some sugar and some whisky. Enjoy together with whipped cream or, even better, some proper vanilla icecream. Astonishlingly good !
How did cloudberries get their name? Yes. Just like the Caribbean, only different. 🤔😊. To my tropical eyes 👀, more spectacular, and beautifully filmed. Thank you.
Glad to see you are including more shots of your girlfriend. Please tell us more about her etc. I am sure she could say a lot of interesting stuff. Is it difficult to talk in English? I noticed early shows you spoke in native language. An more about yourself too. Etc. etc.
I have followed since you had just less than 20T subs - no wonder this channel is on the rise - the footage is unmatched... good to get rid of the ugly useless lump of a boat in Iceland and get to a real project... the Garcia is a nice looking boat and probably a good sailer.
Stunningly beautiful. THANK YOU 🙂
Breathtaking ❤

Just beautiful
Gorgeous.
Magnificent footage! So many panoramas i could have in a painting.
Great short episode! Wonderful footage!
extraordinary footage!!
Breathtaking scenery. Norway Ministry of Tourism might want to borrow this video :)
When in shallow waters, consider having the bow lookout wear a lifejacket... Don't ask me how I know this is important.
I can imagine 😁 wouldn't be nice to dive head first into a rock either...
Joho = My favorite sailing smurf
Scandinavia is definitely on my "to sail" list because of your story? I love how alone you are!

Nice ♥️👍
Kaunis. Kiitos kun jaoit! I've never heard of cloudberries. Are they similar in taste to wild raspberries?
The taste is quite different in a good way and they are firmer than raspberries.
yes they taste is completely different. can't really describe it... but they're very good!
@@AlluringArctic exactly! Very hard to describe but I would say like a cross between raspberry, currants and even some tropical like flavors
Stunning scenery. Big thanks.
Were the circles in the water at about 6:48 for fish farming?
Yes. Those are also found in Maine and eastern Canada. Boats have to supply feed to the fish. It's quite an operation.
Correct, salmon farms!

I am a cloudberry picker😊
Beautiful!!!! what are the 6 circles in the water at 6:28?
Fish farm pens probably for Atlantic salmon.
Can you use the berries to make pastries ? 😍
Pastries, pancakes, jam, everything!
Heat them slowly ( no boiling, just heating) in a pan with some sugar and some whisky. Enjoy together with whipped cream or, even better, some proper vanilla icecream. Astonishlingly good !
Or jam www.rockrecipes.com/bakeapple-jam/
1:27 We call them bakeapples in Newfoundland. And again, 2:09 the landscape is identical to ours.

Aye m8’s, cloudberries contain their own preservative. That's why the can be stored for a long time without any preparation.
2:49 gotcha ;-)
