  • Before starting intermittent fasting, I had gained a lot of weight, mostly in my belly. I felt bloated and uncomfortable in my clothes. By eating fermented and probiotic foods, I was able to naturally start shrinking my bloated belly fat. Intermittent fasting is also very important for losing belly fat.

    Hi Sandy! Sauerkraut that you buy in a store - whether it be canned or jarred - is not a source of a good probiotic. They sauerkraut is cooked, therefore, the beneficial probiotics are destroyed. Raw sauerkraut is the one with probiotics and it is delicious! There are lots of DIY recipes for making your own sauerkraut on You Tube.

    Raw sauerkraut is the only one that is beneficial. I make my own and store it for months in the fridge. It's easy.. You can make it in large glass or what I did was purchase a couple crocks on Amazon. I make it about it about twice a year. Always best if you can get organic cabbage. Heads up, for those who are *_histamine intolerant_* this can send you over the histamine edge. Without knowing that I had a problem with producing the enzyme that breaks down histamine (DAO) I started fermenting and eating all the veggies in our garden this year. Now, 8 months later, my histamine bucket is overflowing and *_everything_* I eat (not just probiotic or other high histamine food) causes an asthma attack. I'm fasting, taking gut health supplements, and taking a LOW-HISTAMINE probiotic to get back on track after my over-indulgence (for anyone with low DAO) in probiotic food. Before I figured out the problem I was almost to the anaphylaxis stage.

    Beware that acv and lemon juice are extremely hard on your teeth. I have seen suggestions of using a straw to help. My dentist told me that if I do drink lemon, don’t brush my teeth for an hour after because the acid has softened your enamel.

      @sandysteinbrook  Год назад

      Agree! I always drink it with a straw. I showed the straw in my last video, but I should have said it too. I am going to share this info in the next video so people know to protect their teeth. Thank you for sharing this to prompt me to get that information out.

      @charmingintrovert3240 Год назад +3

      I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 30 years. The suggestion to use a straw as a way to protect your teeth from ACV and lemon is a myth.
      There is NO way for the acid from the food and beverages we eat to somehow bypass damaging our teeth... even with a straw.
      The only thing using a straw is good for is causing fine lines and creases all around the mouth from years of use that will look like you were a cigarette smoker.
      It is best to avoid using a straw if you want to keep a youthful appearance of your face. I too drink ACV and lemon water, I just rinse with plain water afterwards and don't brush my teeth for at least 30 minutes. Hope this is helpful.

I make a drink called switchel with it, it's like an early gatorade. I use ACV, lemon juice, ginger bug, raw honey and water. Then I add turmeric, potassium, boron and s&p. In the summer you add 1/3 c to a water bottle. This time of year I just shoot that 1/3 of cup. It is good for bloating. You can use ginger powder if you don't want to make a ginger bug.
