Brother do I wish this would come back . I've forgotten how much fun these things were . These guys are really getting after it .. This is really racing
The 63 Galaxie legacy is my car. And you are correct it use to look like a old Holman moody car. We decided over the winter to repaint it and change a few things
I love this kind of racing where you don't need thousands of dollars and who ever has the most money wins the race I like the old school racing where driver and car wins or loses the race and it don't matter how much money you got in your car everything is even.
I always thought of gassers as a "poor man's" race car. Get an old car, strip it down, put the biggest engine you can find in it and run it. Very few cars had good paint. Notice how so many of them just cut out the wheel wells to clear the wide slicks. Knew a guy that put a wide truck axle in his and had to cut the wheel wells, buy he got a really low gear and big brakes with it. Don't think it had any front brakes on the straight axle.
Call me old fashioned but where the fuck is all the crazy, drunken, stoned, hot rodder partying at? You guys may be awesome on the track but that’s just 10 seconds of what should go on at a track meet! Jeez, and to think I was gonna trailer the 55 all the way over from France next year!
Just found this channel, great filming, sound and old Skool hotrods. Thank you from England.
You're very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it.
