Quick Note: I am well aware the title says "Snowstorm To Impact 150+ Million People". By impacts I mean impacts from not just the snow, but from the potential severe weather, the arctic blast, etc. Just wanted to clarify that.
I’ve got a really bad feeling about this next few weeks and believe it’s gonna effect many areas that’s never had these extreme temps n snowfalls! Hopefully I’m wrong
Please track the next TC. GFS model is showing a colossus tropical cyclone making landfall in Australia, an insane low pressure of below 900 mbar was shown on these model runs 06z, 18z, 00z.
One big problem with this graphic: IF you don't have the state lines visible, it's hard to know which weather zone you are in if you are close to the border of one or another. It makes all the difference in the world if you get rain, freezing rain, sleet, or snow.
Is there any chance of freezing temps for suburbs west or north of Houston? Based on what I’m seeing, I’m beginning to write off any chance of cold for my area
Ice looks less likely in mine and John’s opinion (he also lives near St Louis) due to these southward shifts. But even so, I do agree with snow being better, ice has zero friction.
I am somewhat skeptical of the southern trend due to the strength and placement of the trough. Right now, I’m waiting for more data to see if this will continue or push further north
KC will get more snow with this southward trend. However I’m personally thinking 6” is possible for now due to the uncertainty of how far south or north this goes.
NW Ohio is a bit uncertain due to the track of the system. However, I do see you guys getting heavy snow if the systems tracks further north. You are certainly going to get that Arctic Blast, though.

@@lindabergman3127 I'm pretty sure you've been watching weather channels saying that already.
17:33 and they say snow doesn't see state borders, tell that to kentucky and tennessee
Thanks Pat , much Love and Respect ❤

Do you we should buy a shovel,or just wait until It melts?
Depends on where you are at and how much snowfall you get. If it’s over 2”, get a shovel, if not, play it by ear.
You should never buy anything you need in a storm.

Anything coming up for the Texas gulf coast ?? Ganado,Tx. 77962
Ganado could get very close to freezing next Tuesday morning, but we’ll have to see how this evolves.
@@PatsPathPredictorwhat about Katy 77494?
18:00 gfs js ALWAYS southern bias. No way does the se NOT get snow with thus pattern before january 20th
how bad for near St. Louis do you think?
From the recent shifts, St Louis appears to be in the epicenter of the storm. I think a foot of snow is possible there if these trends continue
@@PatsPathPredictor WHAAAAAAAT? I live here and they keep saying ice. I'd rather snow than ice but not that much!!!!

How much snow do you think Springfield mo or just southern Missouri in general will get?
About the same as st Louis
@ I hope
Southern trend continues. Hoping PA comes back into play.

How bad could it be for northwest Ohio?
Snowmagedon!

Too much extraneous information. I’m not planning on going to meteorology school. I just want an accurate forecast.
Thanks, but NEXT!
