Repairing a Christmas Pyramid for a Subscriber | Restoration

  • In this video I repaired a German Christmas Pyramid for a subscriber that was damaged while traveling home from Germany. Many of the pieces were broken and the turntable would not turn as it should have from the rising hot air from candles placed around the pyramid. I was told that someone else had tried to repair it in the past but had not done a very good job. I was able to get it all finished and returned to the owner before Christmas!! I hope you enjoy this last minute project of 2022!!
    Happy holidays and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

    This is amazing. I've never saw something like that. And it's maded from wood. I saw some restoration channel, but one of video of person who repair coffee table he use screw to attach broken leg to table. Horrible! You trying your best to repair things and I appreciate that. I wish you would have more subscribers and views though.

    I received a 5-tier used Christmas pyramid is a gift and discovered the shaft was bent. I managed to remove it but I thought I could order replacement but instead it looks like I should be reconditioning the shaft. My question is each level has a wood disc below it holding the level and place. Is this just friction or does it require glue. TIA!

    • @Restorology
      @Restorology  8 месяцев назад +3

      The one I worked on used friction only for the disks but then they all stacked upon one another starting at the bottom so there was nowhere to slide to if the friction gave out. I might have used a dab of glue on the bottommost piece on the shaft just for insurance. Good luck with your project!
