true, that does make it tough. before i leased training land, i'd go out on public land and find spots by hiking around. maybe if you have public land nearby, you could give it a shot? i also tried hitting up local farmers and did that for a while.
Really enjoying your videos. I have a request for a video...or maybe this would be a good Podcast Topic because I havent heard it covered yet. Our dog is at a pro trainer at a kennel for 4 to 5 months of Obedience training and Basic Gun Dog training. What Id like to know is your advice for how to go about getting the dog back from the trainer and reintroducing him to the family and home environment. Are their things to avoid? We plan to continue training, but dont want to loose what he learns or introduce bad habits after they are finally able to get him holding birds without tearing them up, retrieving to hand, etc etc. We have removed all the chew toys and rope tugs as step 1. I also plan to get a Momarsh Invisilab to start working him into that as a new version of "Kennel". Step 2 is to start work on Shed hunt training. Thanks for all the content you put out there!
hey thanks for following along and for the kind words. also, thanks for the awesome topic. we have a video about sending a dog home where we work with the owner and show him how the dog works but you're right, taking it a step further is awesome.
Hey guys! New dog owner and I’ve really appreciated your podcast and videos. Got a question. How do you adjust puppy training while the dog is teething. My puppy has shown great drive over the last two months both with bumpers and dead ducks. Sense she has started teething I have switched to throwing paint rollers at the suggestion of a local trainer I know. However, today was the first time I’ve ever thrown a mark that she didn’t want to pick up. I don’t want to hurt her or reduce any of her natural drive. Do I need to stop throwing marks completely and only do obedience until her teeth come in? Also, how long do I need to wait after her teeth are set before going into force fetch?
Best channel for duck dog training videos on RUclips! Nice work Uncle Bob!
Excellent obedience and control.
Great training tips
thank you!
Great tips. Just hard if we don't have the area to train like this. But we do what we can too

What is the best way to exercise my dog that I'm currently training. that does not necessarily have to do with training.
Just curious. What do you use for a duck call?

My brother used to grow ding weed in his basement for his medical needs.
