Finding out the 3dio is $1000 makes me appreciate a lot of ASMRtists dedication to the craft
It makes me feel bad they bought it knowing they are just silicone ears strapped to two $12 button mics lol
@Josh O's ASMR collection imo the 3dio is kinda overrated.
I was about to say how 3dio doesn't match with it's price, there are far better mics in that category.
@Josh O's ASMR collection 300 still isn't very cheap lol
The always see the 3dio being used as like people eating/nibbling the ear so its a cool micro phone but weird how people use the microphone

Hi! you miss the Steven one in Mouthsounds! in 4:41
These are my general thoughts on these mics, they all have their strengths and sound incredibly tingly!
The convenience store mic has a unique sound similar to being underwater. It is really cool and would be great for creating ambiance for roleplays! These triggers specifically reminded me of sci-fi/space sounds.
The blue yeti picks up the sharp sounds, like sticky fingertip tapping, really well. It doesn’t pick up those really bassy sounds or the subtle scrunch of the bird pillow as well as the others.
The NT1As pick up the bassy sounds really well, but don’t get the same sharpness as the blue yeti did. Good binaural quality, but has no directionality besides left or right.
The zoom picks up both sharp and bassy triggers, but it struggles to have binaural functionality unless you are doing very up-close triggers essentially on the mic itself.
The 3dio is the start of the directional audio effect for me. It picks up left and right audio while maintaining the sharp and bassy sounds. The one thing I notice is that if it is not left or right specifically, it gets lost in the middle ground somewhere until it returns to a side. It is still able to be heard, but it’s as if the sound goes through the head rather than around it.
Steven is the peak performance. I think the head structure aids the binaural effect and helps those middle sounds to have the directionality the 3dio loses. It also has really crisp sounds for the entire spectrum of bass to sharp noises
Edit: some of y’all are mad I spent my own time giving this feedback but y’all wasted your time reading it all and making unhelpful comments :) chill out
It’s not that serious
my man wrote a full 5 mark answer
Andy, it actually is. Especially when your are using more top of the line headphones to listen to the sounds. I personally like the zoom the best. With my eyes closed, it was hard to know when he switched mics until I listened for the sought differences of the highs and low on the 2nd, blue yeti, and 3rd. The 3dio just looses too much sound in the middle. But I still can't get away from the 10,000 price tag on Steven and for me, it's just not worth that but of extra sound.

The Steven mic was on a different level, but let's be honest for $10k you would expect that. The Blu yeti for a tenth of the cost though is an incredible piece of kit, a legend in the ASMR game and for good reason.
1/100th of the cost lol
The 3dio is 1\10 of the price 😂😂
1/100th
the 3dio sounds worse than the blue yeti 😂
@@Camboge However Blue Yeti doesn't capture the direction nor distance of the sound beyond left to right. 3Dio does, although not as well as "Steven" and other proper dummy head binaural mics.
i usually have a hard time noticing big differences between mics, but WOW this really showed how well made steven is. absolutely ZERO backround noise, and the sound quality difference was just nuts even compared to the $1000 mic
id rank them like this (best to worst)
steven, everything is just 10/10
the $200 mics are actually very nice for the price
3dio, i thought it would be better but honestly the sounds are more muffled idk why
next id put the blue yeti pro. decent everything but only decent, nothing insane. great for the price, however its a bit louder on the right side which i have a big pet peeve for LOL
$1 mic, i know this is gonna be a shocker but youll get why in the next one
$600. i dont know why but theres a rlly ear piercing sound constantly going on with these, might just be settings but it actually hurts to listen to after a little bit
Glad I’m not the only one who heard the high pitched whine on the zoom h6 mic. Couldn’t stand it!
You're right, there absolutely is a high pitched whine with the $600. But... I... Kind of like it??? Not to say it'll be pleasant for everyone but, idk, I just liked it.
@@thestrangemusician168 Absolutely, that's the reason I won't watch a certain very popular ASMRtist. Always with the Zoom h6 and it hurts my ears. Also some sounds are very loud and other barely audible. It's jarring.
@@thestrangemusician168 almost every Jo-Jo video has white noice in the background. That’s the reason why I cannot listen to this, it is horrible for my ears
@@imchronic5539 thankfully I can only hear it with the zoom h6, so I can just skip those parts

Yeah you don't get it until you compare all of them. Especially with the 1000 dollar one vs the 10000 dollar one. You can hear the hour glass move around your head with the 1000 dollar one, but you can practically hear where the water drips down into the other water on Steven

Wow this Steven is so relaxing 😎🗿
For me personally, I like the blue yeti best. I cant describe why, its like the mic picks up all the sounds perfectly and at the perfect spot. This might just be me though.
Edit- Jojo you forgot to use the red tube on the blue yeti lol.
This might be kind of an unpopular opinion but: I have always really disliked the 3Dio for the way it sounds. The highs are way too pronounced while it lacks way too much oomph in the lows. It has hardly any bass, which is something that I like about the BlueYeti for example. I mean sure, the binaural effect is really nice but it just sounds so bad in my opinion, I could hardly ever enjoy any ASMR videos made with it. Now Steven 🗿my boi is a blessing to me. He sounds just perfect, the audio is so clear, the highs and lows / bass are just spot on. This is the first time I can truly enjoy a binaural microhpone like that. I am so thankful for the 10k$ you spent on that microphone to deliver the high quality content to us that we're used to. Thank you so much Jojo and stay the way you are!

It’s very very sensitive. It pick up every little sound which makes it sound amazing
You mean a bit layered ?
Im with you the zoom h6 is so good not like the 3dio its kinda expensive for a mic this bad
It’s the constant peircing sound you psycho
@@SpoonManYT 3dio selling point is moreso the accurate 3d audio. Theres also the professional model(or is this it, not sure).
I have decided to rank these from worse to best, considering everything
The one dollar microphone hardly catches anything and is just mostly has bad quality, earning it last place on the list.
The blue yeti is at a semi-reasonable price range for a microphone and delivers pretty good price quality. Catches most things and can give some tingles at times.
The Rode NT1A's are by for (for me) the best on this list. They are quite expensive but i think it's worth it. They get dual mics which basically function as 2 ears and the audio sounds very good and they capture basically everything. For 1 second it made me feel like my legs were gonna fall out. Definitely the best
The Zoom H6 is kind of lack luster, to be honest. Feel like it has the same quality (and sometimes less) than that of the blue yeti, which you can get for far cheaper. Better than the dollar store mic but not my cup o tea. This is proving the case that more expensive doesn't necessarily equivalate to better.
The 3DIO is a pretty good mic that gives silicon ears allowing for some pretty good ear switching. I dont have very much to say about it except that 1k is probably a tad bit expensive (especially considering the Rode NT1A's)
Steven... Oh steven. Steven delivers amazing audio quality and really makes you feel like you're there. With the 2 ears, it can make for some good dual amsr-ing but unfortunately i am going to have to place it third on the list simply due to the price. Is steven amazing? Absolutely. Is steven TEN GRAND amazing? Well...... Like I could buy a whole car with that amount of money.
My official rankings:
5- One dollar mic
4- Zoom H6
3- Steven
2- Blue yeti
1- Rode NT1A's
Wow, Steven is truly next level. Does anyone else remember when 4K TVs first launched and there was this weird feeling that it was better than your real life eyesight? That’s how I feel about Steven. It’s better than my actual hearing somehow.
It probably is, your ears only go 20hz -20,000hz. Microphones go lower and higher than that already, and not the good ones.

2. Zoom H6
3. 3dio
4. Rode NT1A's
5. Blue Yeti
6. Doodoo $1 mic
I really enjoyed the “Zoom H6” it’s sound quality was AMAZING! Keep it up, and say thank you to Steven for those amazing sounds! 😂
It’s a very sensitive mic. Very tingly
Thank
I have no idea why but I am hearing some sort of insanely high pitched frequency only on the h6 which is bizarre
@@spinos4ru553 same, kinda hurts on medium volume
@@spinos4ru553 same it hurts my ears a bit
Honestly, the Yeti pro is my favorite. I believe it's the perfect balance of all the ASMR mics regarding price and sound quality. "Steven" is amazing but the price is nuts! 😂 Thanks JoJo!
Yes I honestly, I think it’s not too overpowering. I also like the Zoom H6
My ranking from worst to best:
1$ mic: I mean… do I really have to explain?
600$ Zoom: The sound itself is very good but there’s a very annoying ear piercing sound that I litterly hate, it’s like I have tinnitus.
1000$ 3dio: In my opinion the sound isn’t as good as the others but the ear tapping is very tingly.
200$ NT1A’s: Good quality but I’m not a very big fan of the binural function. It’s really extreme here because there’s just left and right. No middle ground.
150$ Blue Yeti Pro: The main go-to mic for me. Very good quality and pretty avarage.
10000$ Steven: Best quality out of all of them. Very close to tied with the blue yeti because of you cant make sounds like the witches fingers and the llamas. Still very good.
Completely agree with you 😊
Agreed. Except I don't know what it is but the $10.000 one blows everything else out of the water. Like it's not even close. And I came in not expecting the difference to be that great.
No offence but this vid is basically showing off how much money u have lol.
Love your vids jojo keep it up
This video honestly gave me a better appreciation for Steven! Compared to the other microphones, Steven’s audio is so crisp! It sounds so realistic especially with noise canceling headphones. I was skeptical at first about the 10k mic and though it was overpriced, but after this video I definitely think it was worth it 😎
When you guys were growing up. Do you remember watching “power rangers in space”. If you guys do. The one dollar microphone Literally sounds like a psycho ranger. I’m so old.

Goodnight! I love you
I- every microphone with a sophisticated name and then boom *Steven* 🗿I started laughing so bad!! But all the triggers were amazing as always tysm for this incredible video
10:13 this sounds like brushing ur teeth in a hurry 😂😂😂
Lol
Actually quite literally!
The convenient store Mike kind of sucked and then the rest just sounded good but all the same
I love how I still tingle, even with a 1$ Mic. This is why jojo is my top favorite asmrist EVER! Love his videos so much!
He is my favorite asmrist.
@@Freddy-q3r he’s my favorite Animalist
Yea
proof that its all in the asmrist and not the microphone
Lets be honest here, the 1$ mic was kinda funny it not capturing the tingles.
All of these microphones have great sounds and great tingles but Steven🗿 is really something else with the 360• audio. This video is also really amazing and i can’t ignore the amount of effort he put into this video. Can’t thank you enough!😊
🗿
❤️
Ya really need to make more videos with Steven. The sounds that he makes are super nice. Great video once again Jojo.
I hope to be in more videos!
your videos are amazing ceep up the good asmr videos please they are amazing
I prefer the Zoom H6 the most. The sounds on that one makes me sleepy while Steven makes me want to stay up to listen.
I agree*😭
Hi👋🏻😁
You got a point
100% agree with you on that
I hear a really high pitched noise when he uses that mic idk if its just me.
Steven was definitively the one with the crispest sounds, but I feel he could benefit from some googly eyes :D

Steven makes the best sounds in terms of quality but i prefer Zoom h6, such an underrated and underused mic
right? it makes everything so crisp
I really like the sound of the zoom
Can we just appreciate how do you spend like $15,000 video
I don’t really think the difference in quality between the 3dio and Steven is worth 9000$ but it definitely sounds the best
It is bro
I almost never feel tingles with tapping, but Steven has cured that problem!
I laughed so hard when the screen went dark and you presented Steven 🗿
- Also, the 1$ mic really has its own charm. But Steven is just so crisp 😴🤤
Thanks!

@@chanellerivera15 Hi Chanelle!
Ngl I really liked Steven it was very good quality and you don’t hear much background noise and it’s also very soothing whenever you do some sort of trigger I liked it!
2:00 sounded like my toilet after eating taco bell
Loved the mouth sounds with the ear tapping at 4:42!! It would also be nice with whispers but it was generally SOO tingly and relaxing :)
The quality of Steven is so good and gave the best tingles but I also liked the Zoom H6 for the tapping
Same those where also my favorite
For me, the Zoom H6 had this weird high pitched sound, did anyone also hear that? But, great sounds! Steven rules, obviously

The $1 microphone sounded like when you stick your head under water and swim around a lot, all those noises. The $150 was nice and comforting. The $200 dollars each didn't sound any different from the Blue Yeti, but still quite nice. The $600 dollar one is great, it picks up every little sound and has a nice tone to it with minimal background noise. The one with the ears is also great, not too much of a difference in sound quality but more sound tone, it sounds more deep and like it's inside your skull. Steven sounds the clearest with next to zero background noise and it's fantastic, perfect amount of everything. My favourite is the $600 dollar one but all of them are fantastic
With Steven you can even hear his shirt moving and the floor against his feet, truly amazing.
I love you is so relaxing and I sleep💤😴
The rode microphones sounds amazing, and the 10’000$ microphone gives the most tingles
I agree.
Me to
Steven is obviously the best but I like how the $1 microphone kind of brought a fishbowl effect. I still can’t get over how you even made the $1 microphone sound good
JoJo- just because it's more expensive doesn't mean it's better
Steven - i beg to differ
There is always the bigger fish i think, maybe... i dont know Umm so yea bye
-ryan trahan
Which video did he say that?
My honest favorite is the Zoom H6, it just something about it that’s just almost perfect and the Steven mic is just amazing.
I agree with you but my favorite was the $1 one the way it produces the sound is very good

$1 get away bin have a good day jojo and everyone else!
the rodes have always been my fav asmr mics. the bassiness and sensitivity are top tier
I think the blue yeti pro has a better quality than the 3DIO mic
Also love your videos, they always help me with my sleeping problems, so thank you for your great videos Jojo
Same lol
The 1$ microphone sounds like your doing asmr in the bathroom
(Lol)
tbh I think that for $1 mic it’s kinda decent!
Obviously it’s not great but $1 is cheap for at least a mic
Steven was best!! second gotta be the blue yeti for me 😂🎉
If you found this I hope you have a great day!!!
Everyone: the titles obviously clickbait
Jojo: hold my Steven

The moment i realised that my heaphones was wrong way ! 🗿
cost-wise and sound I still love the Yeti, But Steven had his moments where the clarity and crispness of the sound won me over. But in the end, I could get my tingles every day from just the Yeti alone.
