Incredible video! Very insightful as well. I’m doing camp America this year I’m going next month, I’m very excited. Personally I’m going because I’ll be fully out of my comfort zone and I’ll hopefully find out things about myself that I didn’t before then evolve from there. All the best to you.

I’m going through the interview process with camps at the moment. Do you know anything about Lenox? And if I’m not sure about it, can I wait for a potential offer from another camp and compare the two, or do I have to accept or decline a camps offer straight away? Cheers.
I haven’t heard of it no! And you’re more than okay to wait for other camps to reach out to you, you don’t have to decide straight away as they know it’s a big deal deciding where you want to spend your summer!

I really wanna do camp America for the experience however I am really shy and I’m worried I won’t be able to be fully confident and outgoing with the kids especially if you’re guiding them and teaching them. I have worked with toddlers before but it was in a nursery you got away with being quite quiet. Just wondering in your opinion if it’s best not to go if you’re shy? Or is it for anyone?
American kids are a lot more outgoing, so I don’t think you’ll struggle in the same way. As someone you used to be shy and is now the biggest extrovert going, put yourself out there and get the experience. It’ll be great for you, especially if you keep a positive mindset!
do you think anyone would be cut out to be a camp counsellor? or is it more for a certain personality? I'm fairly confident but i've never been like the most popular or someone who's easily able to command the attention of a room etc
Honestly it’s made for anyone!!! You come across all different types of personalities at camp, I was really quite shy my first summer and some people were super outgoing and confident, as long as you’ve got a good work ethic and can embrace new things it’s defo meant for you!!!

Hey, usually the start date that is advertised on camp websites is for the campers so staff usually need to be there a little bit before. I would just send an email and ask as some camps will allow you to arrive abit later if you have exams etc!
Hey, I have arranged for Camp america to arrange my flights to camp and back I was just wondering if they will give me a certain weight limit of baggage to take like my suitcase and carryon bag, or will I need to pay more myself at the airport? X
Hi, I was wondering, were ticks a big deal? I’ve seen one video addressing them and I just wanted to know if lots of people had tick bites and/or Lyme disease. I’ve researched quite a bit, and ticks tend to be far more common in the US than the UK and esp in Summer
Hi!! So ticks were a thing at my camp but nobody really got them, we’re taught how to check for them on ourselves and the campers but they aren’t really a big thing at my camp. It’s more if you’ve been in the really woodland areas of camp that you need to be careful and check. I know of one person that did get Lymes disease but after treatment everything was all good!

you definitely do have time for that! I would wake up in the morning and be able to do a full shower routine, shave and do hair care, some nights we’d do a little spa and tint our brows and lashes so you definitely can do all that! You would just adapt to the normal day at camp and work round it x

@@victoriawhitehouse704 that’s crazyyy😳 I had to pay for my visa (which was also pretty pricey), I feel like there’s nothing included in my agency except for abroad insurances, all the paperwork stuff & one orientation meeting… good to know, maybe I’ll try & go with a uk agency (if that works) next time oh myyy

Hey! You normally don’t pay any extras, it should include checked luggage and a carry on but just double check with your agency!! X

You usually get given a debit card that they pay all your salary onto x

Omg really!! I pay my agency around £299 I then have to sort my visa and police check which is around another £150/200 x
