Did you know he auditioned for Finn first? The producers liked him, but he wasn't right for the role. So, he auditioned later for Blaine and was cast for season 2. I just can't see him as Finn, he's perfect for Blaine just like Cory was perfect to play Finn.
Chris colfer auditioned for artie but they liked him so much they made the character kurt if there was no chris colfer as kurt then there would be no blaine

Wow....he is the PURE example of raw musical talent and his voice is so incredible, no wonder Glee picked him up. Smart move on their part and a true breath of fresh air for the rest of us!!!! Darren Criss is...howcan i put this....AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
Truth be told very few of the actors on Glee are exceptionally strong vocally (Lea and Amber being the only two I can think of) that is why they are on TV and not out there selling albums. But out of all of them I'd say Darren is one of, if not the most musical out of all of them. He lives music. His ear, the wide range of instruments he can play and his musical knowledge are all outstanding. He is not just some pretty face as you seem to be implying (and are you implying that you've never respected a celebrity who couldn't sing? That that is the only marketable aspect of a person?) I've been around musicians my entire life (jazz, not pop, but still) and he is not faking his passion. That shit is real. Vocally he may not be broadway level, but for pop? I would say he is on par with most pop singers. And stage-presence wise? He is fucking mind-blowing.
It's nice knowing absolutely that he can sing like an angel :). I literally can't get enough of his voice. Please please please have a show in Oklahoma soon?
Omg he almost made me cry. hes so right. it gave, drama and glee kids a special place in mainstream society. with the show we finally were backed up as more than just the crazy kids who sing show tunes in class and recite their lines to themselves in public.
Wow it is absolutely INSANE to be watching his audition here and to know that now he's a regular on Glee and has skyrocketed to stardom! So proud of how far he has come, he totally deserves it too!
