The Real Meaning of Zuhd (Abstinence) | Mufti Abdur-Rahman ibn Yusuf

Sahl bin Sad (May Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once a man came to the Prophet (Peace and Salutations be upon him) and asked:
Oh Messenger of Allah, direct me towards an action that if I were to carry it out Allah will love me and the people will love me"...
(Ibn Majah)
This lecture discusses a broadened understanding of Zuhd (Renunciation of the world) and how different scholars defined this concept. The above mentioned hadith is considered by many scholars to be one of the four foundations of the Deen.
