Sorry sir for your miss concepts. I am a software Engineer graduated from Muet. Software engineers or computer scientist are high in demand these days but also it doesn't mean people from other fields find it difficult to get a job. There is no guarantee that you will be successful only if do software engineering. I mean if you are a student i will highly suggest you to follow your heart and choose field which you like and love to do because you may have to do the same thing for the rest of your life. I can understand survival is not easy if you belong to any third world country where everyone wants to become rich and everyone is cautious about their future and trust me if you able to keep this fear aside for few years and follow your heart no one can ever beat you. If you don't like to study choose not to study further just choose your life don’t let the life choose you. Decide your end now what you want to be if you want to be a poor man than a rich software engieering become one. Software engineering field will have great future. My batch of 100 software engineers started and got settled in a few months of graduation. There are some problems still but view them as opportunities to do something new. In public sector, most of the departments are moving with the rise of tech. A lot of softwares for public service are being developed and deployed. Look at DCO offices, Nadra and driving license process etc. Things are improving slowly. And there's a lot of work to do so there are numerous opportunities for software engineers in the near future. In private sector, there are whole buildings of software technology pert in different places. Hundreds of offshore branches affiliated with international organizations are doing great too. Plus software engineers are not bound to pakistan. People have found jobs working for firms abroad while sitting in pakistan. Similarly many developers also work as freelancer. So again I don't protect my case but will highly suggest to my juniors to take software. Thank you.

sorry but you've said wrong. i'm a software engineer and I know the demand of software in this current trend of world. my friends from different departments (ex: civil, mechanical etc) now switching their fields and they want to join the software industry. Also i believe that MUET has got the best teachers in software engineering department, so i will always suggest my juniors to go for software instead of civil in which their is no scope in market
You may have been lucky, but majority is not so dear in our country. However, I have said and talked in perspective of our country, though globally things hv different perspective. regards
