@Ricky Moore That was a fire line as well. I think I prefer Dre's verses here over Cubes. Right from the get go he had some cool bars. "Journey with me into the mind of a maniac, doomed to be a killer since I came out the nut sack..." Just awesome.
Yo dirty, as a metal and hip-hip fan, I love hearing your open minded and musical insight into not only the lyrical themes of music but the composition of it, big ups from the UK
Dre and Cube were supposed to drop an album around when this came out. It was going to be called Helter Skelter . I kept waiting and asking the record stores about only for it to never come. It was basically Detox before Detox. Dre is so talented i can't imagine how many bomb tracks he has recorded that will never see the light of day. Shout out to Pac as the sniper at the end of video and Dirty for his obvious love and excitement for this song. Your face said it all.
A lot of the instrumentals from the Helter Skelter project ended up being used by other artists. Two confirmed are Cant't C Me - 2 Pac & The Doggpound Game Over - Scarface ft. Too Short There's a few other unconfirmed like a track called Endonesia. The D.O.C. was writing Dre's lyrics for the album. When they started beefing, he went back to Dallas with the lyrics. He recorded his own album called Helter Skelter using the lyrics he wrote for Dre to spite him.
@@Rasfreeman didn't Jay z write lyrics for 2001, for Dre? I heard that years ago & hoped Dre wrote his shit. I know snoop was supposed to be in forgot about Dre, them Em blew up.
The two murders they commit in the video are based on the Menendez Bros and OJ. Dre and Cube were going to do a whole album together. It was going to be called Helter Skelter. This track was on the Murder Was The Case soundtrack. Check that out and the movie.
Black jacks armory idk about that Lil Wayne has some pretty fucking dope rock/rap songs.. Listen to “ I Am Not A Human Being”. By Wayne That’s shit was fucking hard!

I’m not sure you caught it but when Cube said “so fuck Charlie Manson, I’ll snatch him out his truck hit him with a brick and I’m dancin” he was referring to when the LA riots in 1992 were kicked off a man by the name of Reginald Denny was pulled out of his semi truck and bricks were thrown at him. Cube referenced how Reginald Denny resembled Charlie and how the guys that threw bricks at him were dancing as the bricks hit Denny.
I was in FOURTH grade when this dropped, 1994*, it used to scared the shit out of me but I loved it and I used to trip on how Pac came out on the end of it.
“Hello” by Ice Cube or “Chin Check” by NWA (new iteration with snoop instead of eazy-e tho no other song was recorded by this NWA) are the best Ice Cube on Dr Dre beats songs. Hopefully one of your patrons will request these two songs as well
Nothing touches the 90's for truly memorable hip hop videos and short films like this. Never got as good ever again. This short film was Directed by F. Gary Gray who went on to direct feature films "Friday", "Set It Off", "Men In Black: International", "The Italian Job", "Straight Outta Compton" & "The Fate of the Furious". This short film was banned from MTV because they said there was "too much fire" and the video was "menacing", but, mostly b/c the "blurry parts" are of a supposed Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, and the video implies OJ Simpson arrived after Cube and Dre had already murdered them and OJ was subsequently framed. Very sensitive topic in 1994. Also, this was supposed to be on the soundtrack for Oliver Stones film of the same name but didn't happen for contractual reasons. However, Stones film did include Dr Dre's "The Day the Niggaz Took Over" from the prison riot scene as well as Death Row sidekicks and Snoop side project Tha Dogg Pounds "What Would You Do". And finally, that 2pac cameo? Did ya catch it?
They did a mini movie off the remix to snoops song “murder was the case” from the doggystyle album. They did a whole soundtrack. Definitely Worth checking out, Dre’s production was just on fire when he was with death row records , almost like he had something to prove
This Song Natural Born Killers Is On Snoop Doggs ''1994'' Classic Album ''Murder Was The Case'' Soundtrack. Eventho this album was labeled as a Soundtrack There wasn't a movie for this album, But The Movie Natural Born Killers with Actor Woody Harreison came out that same year. I think Ice Cube And Dr Dre were comparing theirselves to White serial Killers who killed people in real life running down their names in this song. Woody Harreison was a killer in The Natural Born Killer Movie as well!
it was the theme for New Jack / The Gangstas in Extreme Championship Wrestling back in the day and would play on loop throughout the matches. Secondlyc, this is on the soundtrack of a movie called Murder Was The Case so it has clips used
People say Death Row Drama. I say: Dre takes for ever to finish an 'effing project. Dre and Snoops Make up to Break up Album, Dre and Cube Helter Skelter, Detox, Rakim's album.
Nah it’s cuz the D.O.C. was pissed at Dre for not paying him for his ghostwriting, so he took the lyrics he wrote for Dre and Cube’s Heltah Skeltah and released his own album Helter Skelter.

It’s not a movie, but it was them two coming together after having beef with each other. They were in NWA group and Ice Cube left them to go solo. The history goes way before this song does.
Hey Metal Biker Dude, I like what you're doing. Keep up the good work. That is one of my favorite songs. I don't know if anyone mentioned this on here, I did not want to go through all the comments, but this song came out during the time the Melendez Brothers trial and OJ Simpson trial. If you notice on the first scene, Cube and Dre walk in and grab the shotguns from the cabinet and shoot both man and woman (Melendez parents), just like the Melendez Brothers did. Second scene, Nicole and Ron walking the dog, just like the OJ Simpson case. Hence the Ford Bronco and the glove.
The song is off "Murda Was Tha Case" movie. A mini movie Snoop did, he was doing the rap version of Thriller how Michael Jackson did a mini movie. The scenes in the video are based on the OJ murders (Cube says "I'm down wit Dre like AC is down wit OJ). Cube and Dre portray that they killed Ron and Nicole and OJ happens to drive up right after the murders are committed. The dog is the neighbor's dog that they said they were out walking and stumbled on the murdered bodies. A few rappers of that time make references to the OJ case (Spice-1, Master P, South Central Cartel, Cube and Dre)
I remember in ECW when new jack would come out to the Ring . But the song would play during the whole match . Busting ppl in the head with toasters and all kinds of other shit RIP new jack

there was a VHS/DVD called Murder was the Case. For snoop Dogg. it was kind of like Michael Jackson's Thriller. More than a music video, it actually had a story in between the music video segments. It was 18 min long. The DVD also had other music videos, connected via a story thread as well. I think the other videos were just bonus features tho.
