Perhaps this could be a new series on my channel - finding new surfaces to paint on! Hope you enjoy watching me try the Pebeo Porcelaine 150 paints for the first time! What should I paint next?
I really appreciate the fact that you actually take some courses on skillshare and share what you learn to recommend it as a learning platform. That feels authentic.
Lovely, great video. Try a set of four herbs, will look great hanging in your kitchen. I paint tiles using alcohol inks. I hang them up using those sticky hooked plate hangers on the back :)
Harry is a very lucky pig to have such caring sponsors ! Your first attempt in ceramic painting is wonderful! I found that putting a gloss sealer on top really helps blend the two surfaces and smooths out the look of the brush strokes as well as protects for cleaning.Good luck on your next one!
I've never painted ceramics at home before, but I love those ceramic cafes you get. I've painted many mugs, a fruit bowl and me and Tom jointed painted a vase (one side each). I love the idea of painting tiles you could design ones specifically for your bathroom or kitchen. That would be so cool. Your painting of Harry came out really well. He looks like such a lovely happy pig 😁
What can I say? That’s absolutely gorgeous. You’ve definitely nailed that surface. It looks a lot like glass paint for painting glass. I’ve done that and the effects you get are amazing, especially flowers and plants!! I’ve really got an urge to paint some tiles now and I will definitely be looking to Skillshare for some courses x
Harry looks wonderful! Well done! I love all the colours you've used. 😊❤️ It's good to finally know what kinds of paint I can use on tiles. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! 😊👍☀️
I am a member on Skillshare as well. I am so glad I tuned into your channel! love the color of you hair ;-). you are so talented, the colors on piggy are gorgeous!
I always love the colors you choose and how they complement each other!!! Even in porcelain paint you do a wonderful job with that and Harry looks great!
Lovely story about Harry, captured beautifully on your tile Holly. I would be so scared of new paints, so well done on going for it. Your skills definitely transfer!
I think this is my favourite thing you’ve ever done! I love the texture and layering of this paint so much! Do you think you would be making any to sell?
That looks so fun, and I love the way you’ve painted your piggy! So cute!! I have only used alcohol inks on tile before, and my tiles didn’t turn out very nice! Lol! But these paints look like a lot of fun to use, and easier to control than alcohol inks! (Although you get a much different look between the two mediums too.) And I love how inexpensive the tile are to buy! (I got mine for .11 cents each @Home Depot!) Anyway, thanks for the fun video Holly!!
The results are fabulous!💕 just had a vision of a tiled kitchen wall with a bunch of your painted animal tiles.. okey, that's my new dream vegan kitchen haha no pressure tho, I'm just daydreaming 💭
That was fun to watch, what a sweet painting you did of the cute pig. I wondered about something. I just bought my first bottles (a half dozen or so) of this medium but I'm waiting on my ceramic tiles to arrive from Amazon this week and I have been searching through websites and videos to see if I could possibly just spray varnish my painted tiles after I have painted them (to seal and protect them), instead of baking them. I don't want to put chemicals in my regular oven as that concerns me (health-wise), do you protect your tiles after they are painted (so that the paint won't fall off if you need to give them a wipe down in the future?). Thank you for your time!
I had a problem with my Pebeos drying out fairly quickly, so I am suggesting that you keep the tops on whenever you aren't dipping into them.. I don't imagine you need to screw them down, but just pop them on top to avoid evaporation as much as practical.
You are so talented! I think the pig turned out great. He's so cute! What about if people started sending you pictures of their pets and you pick one to draw every now and then. Hint, hint, my dog Tuni (Petunia) is very photogenic. Lol! I'll enjoy anything you paint. Hugs, Tracy
You’re so talented!! 😭😭❤️ not sure if you can actually use these tiles for like a floor or wall but how cool would it be to have all kinds of different painted tiles on your wall somewhere of a certain theme?!
Hello Holly, thank you for your great inspiring tutorial....I am going to give this I go for an alternative to watercolour paper! Can you just let me know how you seal your work for safe keeping / waterproof / heatproof etc thank you so much
Loved this video! It was fun to watch you experiment and learn about Harry. Update: I’ve officially been vegetarian for one year since I started learning about it through you. I’m not quite vegan yet, but have eliminated milk and eggs from my diet too. I’m getting there. Thanks for being a catalyst for my change.
I just posted my casio g shock mudMan Watch on ebay and under the item specifics ebay had "CHARACTER" WITH ANIMAL & CARTOON CHOICES. I wrote in WILBUR The Pig . As The Watch is named MudMan Pig -Mud LOL fun fact
Could you as a Professional Recommend a paint for me. I want to paint the Markers on the ceramic bezel of a dive watch. Here is the brand and listing title of said watch.Seinhart OCEAN 1 BLACK Ceramic. Thing is the bezel has black on black ceramic And My aging eyes find it difficult se see the marks. So I want a white paint the will bond and look good on this type of application. I would prefer a glossier version if possible. By the way I love to way you say "Little Look" early in this video. Any info direction and or advice would be greatly appreciated and well received.. Thank You Tim from Florida US.

I think an insect series would be beautiful
*Holly, this was lovely! Definitely consider branching out into ceramics, as well. I could SOOO envisage your art on someone's kitchen wall.*
I would imagine your tiles would look fabulous and unique incorporated into a kitchen setting...Loved Harry 🐷
Adored the colors you used! Happy for Harry for living a free life 💛
I really appreciate the fact that you actually take some courses on skillshare and share what you learn to recommend it as a learning platform. That feels authentic.
This was super cute, and I LOVE the idea of sponsoring the piggies!
Hi Holly. Your style of unmixed watercolour is perfect for ceramics. This is gorgeous. Well done!
This medium suits your style very well. The finished tile looks amazing!
Lovely, great video. Try a set of four herbs, will look great hanging in your kitchen. I paint tiles using alcohol inks. I hang them up using those sticky hooked plate hangers on the back :)

Harrrrrry! Love him! You did a wonderful job on him Holly! Now paint Bob next! He was a cutie! You could do a few of Harry's friends!
Eve Eichner yes! I want to paint the whole gang. Bobby boy is next on the list 😊
Very cool seeing you trying new things 👍🏼😊
Such a cute little piggy. I'd love to try to paint on glass. Thanks for sharing 💕
This is beautiful Holly, really suits your style you need to do more!

Thank you Colette - was a bit scary, especially as I was filming it! But also invigorating and made me appreciate the importance of experimentation.
Gorgeous! What a great new creative outlet. You have inspired me. Imagine, you can put them up in your house!
it's lovely!
The tile looks so good!
Wow! That came out great!
Love your color choices.

Aw thank you! I think I will in future yes - would be nice to freshen up my etsy shop with some new products!
Looks amazing Holly =) would be so nice to see you trying out new medias. I have always wanted to try out carving block prints for exemple.
Harry looks beautiful!!!
Mix orange with a dab of black to make a proper brown
So lovely! All of the pigs made me smile! ^_^

Amazing art congratz! One question..when you finish the painting you apply anything on the tile or just let it dry? Thanks
Gorgeous painting...
These painted tiles could be made a decals for other ceramic items. Easy to apply
The results are fabulous!💕 just had a vision of a tiled kitchen wall with a bunch of your painted animal tiles.. okey, that's my new dream vegan kitchen haha no pressure tho, I'm just daydreaming 💭
Brilliant Holly! Just a quick question, do the tiles need to be fired in a kiln or heated in an oven to set the paints?
Mari Dieumegard Ooooh good question!
Oven - to make dishwasher safe :)
It's lovely. Do you then just let it dry? Bake it in an oven or kiln? Put a protective clear coat on it?
You should be very proud of this, gorgeous x
I love your videos they very inspiring and remind me to keep being creative! Lovely video, tiles are really cool. Keep creating!
Evie
Thank you Evie, so glad you are enjoying my videos :)
That is stunning!! Well done for your first time! :). Really enjoyed watching your process.
I want a kitchen full of these...
So lovely! How did you seal it? Are they washable?
Wow! I love it! 😊
Did you have to bake it to cure the paint? If so, did it change the colors at all? Thanks for sharing your beautiful art!

Does this need to be heat sealed was reading a couple of conflicting reports on it in terms of dry on its own permanency
Is it ok to use acrylic paint?
