- 10 levels of liszt
This is only MY opinion. Please don't harass me in the comments! Liszt made some devilishly hard pieces, which is why 3/4 of the pieces in this *Liszt are hard lmao

A lot of y’all need to understand that even though Beethoven 3 is not the hardest transcription, it still deserves to be at level 10. Level ten isn’t ONLY the hardest Liszt piece. It includes just ONE of his hardest pieces. I know that Beethoven 9 is his hardest transcription, but I already included it in my previous videos! :)
Not a bad list, but why not include again?
You made a really accurate liszt 👍
Also, Symphony Fantastique Transcription should be there
I'd like see a list of most difficult transcription by Liszt.
Great video as always
good idea

Hey Cactus, what an upload as always! I do have some different choices for Levels of Liszt. I believe the last piece could be Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 Transcription, or maybe S.140/4b? And I think instead of Grand Galop Chromatique, you could have added Galop in A minor, which expresses a lot more of Liszt's difficulty on a scale. Still a great video, can't wait to see what's next. :)

Well done brother. Can i ask you what is your fav chopin nocturne ?
The e minor one op. 72
@@acactus2190 oo. Great . I'm a first year music college, learning this nocturne
Bro thé third consolation IS thé Chopin a nocturne OP 27 no 2
mazeppa and feux follets?
I'm sorry, a Paganini etude is harder than the Sonata? Since when?
It’s the unrevised version
@@acactus2190 even then, sonata is still harder. beet 3 beats all of the list though.
@@trvm1 I don’t think so. This etude is impossible to play at it’s suggested tempo, just like many of his s. 140 etudes.
S.140/6 IS EXTREMELY difficult, like almost impossible at the full tempo if not impossible. Sonata in B minor is around 30 minutes long on average but still doesn't demand the same amount of technicality as S.140/6, which is the unrevised version. Please make sure to read the number and know about some of Liszt's unrevised works so you know for future reference!
@@acactus2190 the term presto is to be interpreted with reference to the score. as in the notes should be (relative to the other parts of the score that limits the maximum speed) played ‘presto’. even liszt attempts to solve this confusion with the insertion of ‘quasi’!
Are they ranked in order or no particular order?
Order
What would orage be?
Propably level 5 or 6
His etudes are deep and insightful, each like individual tone poems

What about Beethoven 9 ?
0:34 "liebstraum" 💀💀
What about the infamous Feux Follets?
Propably something between level 9-10
Rhapsody Espagnole?
Where is don giovanni? And where are you?
Why don't you mention the pianists or even try to sync the scores yourself for a bit of continuity. Seems quite low effort
Low effort choices too
Many of the titles are incorrectly spelled.
Like which ones?

Very interesting, I probably would put Grand Galop Chromatique below Chasse-Neige but otherwise the rest is agreeable enough!
By below idk if you mean harder than etude or easier but that grand galop chromatique seems kinda more difficult especially if you would to play it at fast speeds idk tho I’ve never played it I’ve only heard Cziffra play it violently fast
As someone who has played both I’d say the Etude is harder musicality wise , but the gallop has more technical variant and is harder to play accurately at a consistent tempo.
Not at all, Grand Galop Chromatique is a way more difficult piece than Chasse-Neige, or at least in my opinion, it's hard to keep the melody clear with just your 4th and 5th fingers whilst controlling the accompaniment, musically wise Chasse-Neige is difficult, but on a scale of Liszt's difficulty in his works, Grand Galop Chromatique goes over Chasse-Neige by a long way.
@@julianmcmennemin8595 for me musically wise the etude isn’t too difficult idk if it’s cause I played a lot of Chopin and music from romantic period in general.
I agree it’s the harder of the two but I wouldn’t say by a long way, the gallop is more repetitive so it is a bit easier to pick up the technique.
Great vid!
I think its an perfect top ❤❤❤, but grand galop chromatique is not harder than sonata in b minor?
I'd say Chromatique is easier, and Chasse-Neige and Sonata are about the same level, probably the Sonata is harder.
The easiest one may be La cloche sonne
Or S.207a
Consolation no. 3 is pretty easy though
@@blackmage1276 a bit difficult than the la cloche sonne
@@tungholau2457 still very easy
s140/6 harder than lisztnata??? beet 3 transcription harder than beet 9??
There is no Beet 9 in the video
s. 14「0」
Etude 6 is played very badly in this video. Go check the long-haired guy playing it
No way this fool actually put Consolation No. 3 as level 1.
What I'm thinking
@@sovietunion4875 Like if you're gonna put a Consolation in level 1, completely ignoring the dozens of much easier pieces Liszt composed, at least do Consolation No. 1 or something. Cause at least that's doable for beginners.
@@thenotsookayguy It's the most famous really easy one.
