Perfect this gonna help A LOT OF PEOPLE!
You just helped a lot of people by teaching you guy how to do his fuel lines. Thanks I really think it’s one of the best videos I have seen. It’s the first time I have seen someone make his fuel lines from cutting to installing the fittings. Usually on car shows they just show you the hose a fittings and tools, then they show the final product. THANKS great video.
I'm glad you enjoyed it and learned a little! How everything works out beautifully for ya!
Man bruh. That's a big help. Everyone don't tell you how to do gas lines. BIG HELP.
Just started my project and trying to get as much info on parts as I can. This was great. Thanks
"If you're looking that hard then you're too close to my truck"
🤣🤣🤣
Glad someone uploaded the process on an obs truck. I was going to record when I made mine but didn’t have a second pair of hands to help out. Awesome vid. It’ll definitely help out a lot of people
Do you do yours the same way? Similar? Different?
Cool Cars KJ as far as making the lines mine was identical. I used painters tape and a grinder. But I had a vortec 350 in my truck originally so I only needed like 2ft of hose all together
10-4, yea I've seen the vortec 350s can adapt right near the engine
I appreciate y'all hard work and time to show us how's it done. I'm a new subscriber. Looking forward for some new content.
I enjoy your blog brother you and your son I really get down on trucks and cars and stuff. Keep up the good work peace from the big N.O. La.
Thank you thank you thank you, this is the most thorough video on you tube on how to do this. You guys took ya time and did it right
Thanks for part numbers . I wish the bed came off my avalanche like a normal truck tho
Big thanks. Makes life a whole lot easier
Very well done video guys, best I’ve seen on the subject for beginners like me.
I'm glad it was able to help you bro!
thanks for this video i was lost for min. there i have a 95 gmc sierra 2500 very simi
lar set up, i had no idea on these type of an lines. again i apperciate yall.
Liked and subscribed! I’m about to swap my 93 obs. Thank ya for the informative video!
Appreciate it man! Me and my dad were wondering how we’re gonna do the fuel lines on our swap but we’re just gonna do this way.
It doesn't look that menacing at all does it bro?
Cool Cars KJ: Definitely not.
Good job fellas ! Looking good boy I sit here learn a lot ! Appreciate ya bro💯
Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Much appreciated.
Great content every video.
LOVE THE CHANNEL.
I'm glad it will help others. Thank YOU for the support!
Best explained video on you tube thanks
I wish I saw this about a month ago it takes out all the guess work out lol.
Thank you sooooo much! This video is invaluable!!
Love the video
Thanks sir appreciate u
Thanks for doing such a thorough tutorial, you probably saved me DAYS of research!
This will work on all ls motors I got a ls2 out of a tbss that I want to put in a 96 obs
CCKJ if you get back down around Macon Ga I know like to eat so check out Nuway Hot dogs there are about 5 R 6 of them left it started in 1916 in Macon Ga.
10-4, sir. Ill definitely check it out. Love a good hot dog joint.
Great video!!! But Got a question on the fuel pump what else do u plug in after connecting both lines there’s still 2 more ?
Great tutorial bruh
Is he using the oem pumps straw or is it a different straw in the tank? I'm doing this my self soon and I was wondering if there's any other options for oem fuel pumps to replace for one with just a straw and fuel sensor
What kind of filter did you end up using? What about the pump? It looked new like you replaced where you connect the lines back into the tank.
Stock fuel filter and delco EP381 fuel pump which is stock for 96-later models.
GREAT JOB!!!... 😎💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
What if you run an aftermarket intake ? Do you need a fuel pressure regulator
Great vid. Are you not using a fuel pressure regulator anywhere?
The LS fuelnpressure regulator is on the fuel rails, if I recall. He still has it. Might have removed while he was painting the intake but yes we will be using it.
Good video
What's the middle one for on the pump?
Say I just want to replace my rusty lines from the fuel pump to the fuel filter, can I use this tutorial to replace the lines without any problems? I’m not planning on LS swapping anytime soon.
Of course
1 question, what did yall do about the vent tube in the tank sending unit?, that 4th line that goes to the charcoal canister
Re-use if you want. Alot of people reuse it. Some remove charcoal canister and put a cone filter on the end.
@@CoolCarsKJ thanks man! I'm working on the fuel system of my 94 K1500 5.3 swap right now, I didn't know what to do with that, you saved me some time, I appreciate it :)
About how long were the lines after being cut? Just need a rough estimate for reference
This but on an obs 5.7 w carb and no return line
Any suggestions on where to get the fuel line. Was looking on Amazon and a lot seem to have bad reviews, even some reviews on summit weren’t so good.
i bought it from ebay. Worked well so far.
I might have missed it somewhere, but what fuel pump did you use that had those fittings? Great video, very informative, an asset to all OBS LS swaps!
The fuel pump is Ac Delco ep381. The blue fittings were added to the sending unit, they do not come on it, if that's what you're lookin for. Thanks for the support!
@@CoolCarsKJ hey bud I have a 1997 c1500. Is that come with the same fuel sending unit?
@@jrocha383ws6 your sending unit is sufficient if it is currently working. Your fuel pump is sufficient as well since its a 97
Any ideas on what parts I would need to make a short return line from my tbi unit to the connection just behind the engine? I’m reading I’d need a 14x1.5mm an fitting, hose, and another 14x1.5 I think, and 2 an fittings.
I've never done that bro. I cant give any advice on that.
You ever get the parts for it? And did it work
25:09 just a reference point for myself.
Pay no mind to this comment
do i not need a fuel regulator?
Fuel regulator is on the fuel rail of the LS intake
was that a 60 inch (5ft.) fuel tank???....
We didn't measure. Its stock though, for sure
Great video! What size hose did you use?
-6an hose, 20ft of it
So will this set up work for the ls3 setup because my fuel rail has a single hose that comes off the rail?
Very similar as far as making the lines. But you'll need a corvette fuel filter ran in line. It should have one nipple in and 2 out or vice versa. I've read about it.
Ok thanks so much
Will these lines and fittings work for a bbody sending unit as well?
That I dont know bro. Raymond Martin would probably know.
Great video, I’m in the process of doing my first LS swap on my 91 obs. I have a 5.3 /4l80e. What fuel pump would you recommend?
Walbro 255LPH
AC Delco EP381 at a minimum. Walbro 255 or aeromotive equivalent are both outstanding as well.
What rims he got on his truck?!? They too nice!
15x10 all chrome chevrolet Rallies
Cool Cars KJ preciate it
What kind of fuel pump are u running for your ls swap? stock one?
Yes, AC Delco EP381
What year of sending unit are you using?
Sending unit doesn't change. Use whatever came with your truck or the proper replacement. He used the Dorman brand if i recall
What fuel pump and filter did you use ??
Ac Delco ep381 pump
Ac delco GF652 fuel filter (if I recall)
Cool Cars KJ thanks 🙏 I’m about to order all this
What you fuel pump did he use?
AC Delco ep381
@@CoolCarsKJ thanks fam
Thanks for this helpful video! Hit me up on Facebook.
DEFINITELY a great video. Just gotta add one thing. When you are assembling the second piece down onto the AN put a little lube on the threads. That will help the second piece not push the hose back out of the fitting when tightening the two pieces together. I marked my hose when it was bottomed out inside the first piece so I can see if it moved. Much respect.
Marking it is a pretty good idea. I hadn't thought of that. But after checking the 4 I did on my truck, they didn't move at all. This particular fitting and hose has a very tight fit, but maybe all brands do 🤷♂️
@@CoolCarsKJ when I did my trans cooler lines I had one or two start to push back. I think if you have the right amount of elbow grease you should be ok. This is definitely the best most specific video on this. I looked all over when I did my C10. Videos were old and horrible quality.
@@DjCBlaq ima try those ideas next time, for sure.
Painters tape on the inside of the tool will keep it from scratching. Appreciate the video, been searching for awhile now on what parts are needed to convert from tbi to braided lines since I don’t want to pay $120+ for factory metal lines lol.
Just for future reference, keep it straight....- that's what she said....
Appreciate the video just got my hoses and fittings in this week gonna put them together tomorrow....great content as always
Goof video fellas much appreciated
You’re the Man. I’ve been trying to find those part numbers for the sending unit adapters for hours when all I had to do was holler at my boy KJ.. 🤦♂️
Well done. Great approach to show coaching someone with less experience. You're a great teacher.
I appreciate that! Thank you for watching and taking the time to drop a comment!
Bro I love the content your helping me out so much in my build I have a 94 gmc 1500 5speed I’m doin a swap on I’m put 6.0l ls with a t56 transmission it’s a long journey but everything is coming together
What's up, bossman KJ! I hope life is treating you well!
Quick question: What did yall do with that middle line coming out of the fuel tank? The one in between the sending and returning lines. I believe it's the Evap line. Did you just run it how it came stock with the clamp?
yessir, reuse it and hook to charcoal canister if you like.
@@CoolCarsKJ awesome! Thanks for always getting back to me 🍻
@Cool Cars KJ Your partner couldn't had a better teacher and viewers as well to give this tutorial with sth step by step details. You might wanna add the fuel filter number to the part list for those that's going to question you about it. I appreciate the great content. Keep the fire vlogs coming
Did my el Camino with 5.3 and 4L80E trans with 3.23 rear out of 2000 Z28 Camaro.
This video fucking helped me a lot. Appreciate it . this is what I need to do to my truck next
This is one of those videos where I save on "track build" for hopefully future reference. Thanks brothers.
Bru thanks for the information I need to get some part help your bro.
You need help with parts?
Thank you for all the detail. Best fuel line video by far
Mann.... I appreciate it so much cause this is my first time trying an ls swap in a 77 impala
great video, I am using this for my ls swap. thanks a bunch
Love this video give me the confidence to do it myself 👍🏾😊
Thanks for the video! It shows exactly how to do it and its real simple!
Great video man, lots of good content on the channel too, subbing for sure!
👍🏿👍🏿
I dig that blue on the valve covers keep up the good work
This will
Help a lot 🙏🏽 thank you!
Used this video for my 89 ext cab dually i was short by around 6.5 inches 😭😭😭😭 just ordered 10 more ft to re-do the last part
Your vids motivate me to get my 1994 OBS back in the game!
Were do you connect the evap hose from the fuel pump assembly? Does it go somewhere in the intake manifold?
This was a perfect instructional video bro. You walked us through every step. Good job bro
What size fuel line would be better for 6.0, 3/8 or 5/16?
Thanks for the great tutorial! I'm in the middle of doing an LS swap into an 89 S10 and keep obsessing over how I'm going to set up my fuel system.
Glad I could help!
Awesome builds ! Thanks for including the part numbers. Big help. 91 Chevy Stepside
Glad I could help bro!
Great video Bro! Needed this
Good clean job you guys 💯👍
Great information.
yall dedicate man. I aint worked on my truck in weeks cuz its so gat damn hot lol
Man that heat aint no joke!
What filter did you use
Stock filter that the obs truck calls for
he answered that 1k times lol
On this truck is it possible to use stock lines & just adapt connections to ends to
Yes you can adapt from the fuel filter up to the intake. I've done that on my truck.
👍💯start up soon!!!
Quick question for ya, I got a 98 obs crew cab. My stock metal fuel lines comes from the fuel tank all the way up to the tranny to the back of the block, can’t I just use two 1 foot lines from there to the fuel rails or should I just run all new lines?
Wait never mind I just rewatch the video and you said the metal lines were good but the previous owner removed them
Yes, you can adapt from the end of the metal lines.
🤝 Dope video 📹
Damn good video. Can't find a full fuel line build like this on here. If y'all have some extra money on the next obs, use some ptfe line. The fuel won't break it down over time like it does the rubber.
LV isn't willing to spend the extra money on some stuff, lol. I had this hose extra from ordering too much last time, lmao. Does the PTFE line take the same fittings or different style? I'll have to take a closer look at that for the upcoming 91 & 93 swaps.
@@CoolCarsKJ the pfte takes basically the same fitting but it has an "olive" in the middle that compresses and seals the fitting. There are videos on here that show you how it goes together. Definitely good to consider.
Im tryin to do this for my transmission, and engine oil cooler lines.
Same process I would assume, maybe different hose.
Must be awesome living so close to summit and/or jegs?!
Bout an hour and a half for me.
What size tire on this setup also those are 15x? Thanks kJ
275/60r15
Now i believe i can do the fuel lines for my obs. Thanks
Believe and you will achieve broski! You can do it!
Cool video my mounts came in just debating on which harness to go with roughly how much did this run
The fittings are cheap, the hose is fairly cheap. I'd say this is maybe $100 worth of parts
Cool Cars KJ sweet next on the list I’m thinking about boosting this 5.3 so debating on buying headers or just buy the turbo manifolds
What long tube headers y'all find that fit well?

Hey brother I had a question I’m running a set up that’s just a single fuel rail
You need that corvette fuel filter piece then. They call that a non return style intake. Have you read about it?
@@CoolCarsKJ yeah I know about the non return style I guess it’s kinda hard to type it all and explain so basically my question is obviously I don’t run a return from my intake because it’s only a one lime but do I need to run a line from my filter to the gas tank and still have a return line or just get the filter that only has the 2 nipples instead of 3 that’s where I’m lost also I have regular metal fuel line is it better to double flare or to get a fitting that goes to AN6 what would you suggest?
