I moved here 3 years ago. Years ago when I used to visit SE Asia I could smell the opportunity, but not so much these days. Now, I smell that opportunity in TZ. With few small changes, TZ will be a powerhouse. Everyone I know in TZ are proud of their country despite the usual struggle of life. Muslims and Christians accepting of each other, welcoming to foreigners. Couldn't ask for a better home.
It depends what you really want to see. For huge landscapes and animals, sure, Tanzania is much better. For the rest, I am not so sure, I've been to both countries and I overall prefer Mauritius, it is better in terms of infrastructure, convenience, views and food wise, but also more expensive.
I have visited plenty too but have lived in TZ for past 3 years. TZ is one of the best for what I want from life. Vietnam was my favourite before I found my home and future here in TZ.

I have just recently booked up to go to Tanzania. I'm climbing Kilimanjaro on the Lemosho route followed by a 3 day safari in the Serengeti for 2 days and the Ngorongoro crater for 1 day. Can't wait.

Asanta sana, Well I was in Tanzania in May 2023, my experience was not great in Arusha and Mushi for following reasons: 1- local restaurants had no menus no prices for tourists, 2- local restaurants were asking 2 or 3 Times of prices, so we ate in hotel😢, 3- people are following you every where that's not pleasant. Tourists beware pay before eating your foods prices may not be the same after eating 😅😅. Tanzania has good foods and good people beautiful ❤️. Zanzibar and dar es salaam were good. Akonamatata, Jambo
