I knew where this was going when I seen that obvious difference cloud sun before you even started but, damn, was that manner of creating a star field super creative and really quick! Very useful trick. Thanks for sharing.
Just taught me more about photoshop in a 12 minute video than my media arts professor did in the first year(of course the professor treated everyone like they'd never seen ps before.)
I really love your tutorials, i have improved a lot and now i'm making my own compositions. I have one question, if i want to print something i did in phoshothop do i have to set resolution on 300 dpi? thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
Marty, excellent as always. However, the sun looks very low resolution and blurry compared to the stars behind it - would you recommend spherizing a lava texture instead for a better effect?
The sun shouldn't look low in resolution because its size (2500 x 2500 px) is much larger than the stars' document (1920 x 1080 px). Both documents have a resolution of 72 ppi.
@@BLTV_Photoshop Thanks for the reply. I suspect I mis-worded it - it's not so much low resolution as not-as-crisp as the background behind it. 00:17 seems to illustrate my point, perhaps: the background is crisp and clear but contrast on the star makes it seem out of place and unclear(?). It's hard to place a word!
Absolutely majestic
Wow! What an amazing way to create a field of stars not to mention the sun. Thank you.
OMG, You are amazing. I love your videos. You are like the Bob Ross of Photoshop.

If you're planning to print an image, it's always best to start your document at 300 ppi, rather than upscale it after you're done.
Nice video
I am 2 no. Comment in your video
