Yes, T20 is about hitting but you need to have a captain who has experience and 5-6 matches don't count as experience. We won 2007 T20 WC because team was new and captain was mature. So, captaincy has to be done by Rohit and if he does it Virat is the first name in his team. Conditions will be new which will be unplayable by a new team and proof of it we will get in South Africa 2007 was a different time, those senior players didn't played t20 much as the format was just started. Agreed mostly with your eleven, only one more hard decision that we need to make is instead of Shreyas play seamer allrounder like Hardik, Shivam , Shankar, ....etc at 4th and play Sky at 3 and if somehow can play Deepak Chahar at 8 instead of Siraj that would be an ideal team . Shreyas iyer is such a underrated captain he can take hard decisions and he is never clueless and virat should play wc You can’t keep virat and Rohit in same race for wc Virat was highest scorer for last wc had a marvellous ipl and is 2 time t20 wc man of tournament where as Rohit last good t20 wc was 2007 wc he is not good in ipl after hardik only virat is a clutch player in team just because rohit was burden for team in wc You can’t frame that all senior should not play
1) iyer's position in WC24 11 is uncertain (very less chance that he will be in 11) so making him captain would not be ideal
2) agree on u with virat, I think we atleast need one anchor in the team that can be trustable... And virat is that.. Tho I would love him to be opener with jaiswal.. As sky at no. 3 would bang
3) I understand the frustration of how rohit has been so bad in t20 WCs after 2007... But he has definitely changed his game style since this world Cup... Now he has became selfless and he utilises PP even in tough and tricky pitches which would be the case in 2024 WC too... Tho I still think rohit shouldn't play 2024 WC.. As if he would then he should have played South Africa tour... Now it would be risky to include him... Tho if his ipl goes banging... I wouldn't be mad of him being included in t20 WC
