Yeah that sound like more current it's back then I don't think that you'd be so relaxed that almost like sounds like maybe like a B-52 chatter or something like more current
@@BlackAtomProductions especially back in the 40s when these guys would go and fly these almost like Kamikaze type missions I mean hell half of them never made it back I think there was like 200,000 in that war I mean devastating numbers but they didn't have time to just sit there and chit chat I mean they had fighters all over them and trying to make it bomb run I have the utmost respect for all those guys and I was just privileged to be able to fly with the Air Force and keep their honor
Yeah after hearing it again definitely way more current I mean back then like you can hear the pilot talk about coordinates and everything else but if you actually read the history about the B-17 a lot of them almost collided into each other coming to the clouds to meet up for a bomb run they almost hit each other almost every single time so there wasn't a bunch of coordinates talked about they all know that okay well we're going to level off at this many feet and stay in a close tight formation but they never had a bunch of coordinates that they talked about like I said they almost crashed into each other the majority of the time trying to level off to the clouds
I mean I know it's just a movie but Memphis Belle actually has a spot in the movie where the planes almost collide knows way dangerous back then I mean it's still dangerous now but then they just didn't have the technology that we have now for our aircraft
Honestly I know it's inaccurate but the creator needs some slack here ww2 radio transmissions we're only or mostly recorded for propaganda uses and afterwards were never really saved so they are extremely rare and hard to come across unless recorded by the crew themselves but again that would be even rarer so I'm not to mad about this I fall asleep Everytime I know it's not accurate but to me that's ok because I know how rare combat transmissions are for ww2 not saying you don't either just thought it would be a good point to make sorry for the rant lol
@@BlackAtomProductions we always had mixed crews it wasn't like back in the forties every time I flew I had new pilots co-pilots navigators engineers a fellow load Masters we would take off usually with a crew of about at least 13 guys
Everybody had a job and being a load master you don't get much credit because you're not the pilot or engineer or something like that but anything that happens in that plane it's on our ass I've had to fly over Iraq and move cargo as were jettison fuel because we had gears jammed and I'm trying to figure out with all the math like okay where do we put this vehicle now where do we put these pellets now it's you really don't have time to think you just depend on your training and the knowledge that you've obtained
Everything happens really quick and then when you land and you go to your hotel then you kind of like take a deep breath and thank God that it all worked out but then you wake up 12 hours later and you're back on it
It was kind of funny the way that we communicated even though I'd be in the back but I always had my headset on and I'll just get bored after flying so many hours and I got so sick and tired of hearing the pilots talk about politics and who they voted for and stuff like that so I would just throw in a little humor
Thank you!
You're welcome! Enjoy 😀
Miss my brothers
Thanks for listening!
I miss my Lady bugs
Do an E-2C/D hawkeye or an E-3 sentry with the radio chatter please. I love this
I'll see what I can do.

Man I miss being aircrew I was a C-5 and a C-130 load master
I bet, must've been very rewarding work, working with such amazing aircraft and a close crew.
