Not gonna give anything away but a certain artistic genius met with Kan to share how much of an inspiration he has been a while back. It's like that show the bear said. .these things begin and then go their separate ways and somehow end up back together again somehow :)
As a newcomer to the SigCorp series (played every game in the span of a week back in November 2023), I still feel what those people felt when they first played in the early 2010s: Sorrow, joy, emotional attachment, heartbreak, all to the story of John Wyles. Then Colin Reeds. Then Quincy Reynard. What did I get out of this saga? A lot, but if I had to sum it all up: your games can single-handedly prove that video games are a form of art. And this simple yet solemn piece was improvised? Bravo once again to my favorite indie developer of all time: Kan Gao! Can't wait for the Beach Episode, Last Hour RPG, and the animated film! (P.S. I really hope the film trailer will be a note-for-note recreation of the original trailer! I would probably have a dopamine storm if that happened!)
After revisiting the game for the first time in a decade, I wanted to find an extended version of this piece, only to find the creator himself composed one just 6 months ago. Thank you Kan. You are amazing.

There is one arrangement i've been listening to here on youtube for years bc it always gives me so much peace and serenity and used to cope alongside other songs when growing up as a woman with autism, diagnosed rather early on at a preteen, and just, not being seen and being bullied in middle school and dealing with ptsd... i'm so glad to the composer released his own extended version! I'm now 26 and i still listen to the soundtrack of To the Moon amongst others to calm down when anxiety gets the best of me, thank you KAn Gao for this release
I'm attracted to indie games for something. I especially find something in common in the games to the moon, oneshot and undertale. Recently I would add OMORI to this list, although it gives me a different sadness.
I can't exaggerate how much this game means to me and has been a relative reason as to why I do what I do in fulfilling my passion as a creative thinker and satiating my mind with the critical and psychological sides of knowledge. This game is rooted in psychological aspects that are displayed so thoroughly and beautifully through damn pixel story-telling and it's so good. The music too has always meant a lot to me, I listen to John's piano's theme to River a lot not just because of their story, but just how wonderful the sound the theme is.
EXACTLY, WHERE IS THE FUCKING MOVIE. It has been 6 years now. I hope... no I know it's worth the wait. if this wasn't a thing I would have said: "I want movies of the to the moon/sigmund corp series, even if I have to wait 10 years" Well now it's time to do our part. But damn I really would like to know why this is taking so long. :(
It's been almost half my life at this point since that first SigCorp game showed up and changed the way I saw the world forever, and I still see people discovering it for the first time today and having exactly the same reaction I did back then. It's incredible how something that felt so timely all those years ago still somehow just refuses to become any less potent or hard-hitting with age. It's not just a time capsule of 2011-it's a Ressikan probe, completely immersing even the most clueless players in its story and characters as if it were all built from their own personal experiences.
This ebbs and flows like ocean waves, I can see the mist on the window. Thank you for giving me and many others a path to understanding our own sadness and confusion in life. This game was a doorway for my mind to my heart and it led me to Finding Paradise which struck me hard. You explained feelings I've had for many years that I never could describe. Thank you for that, Kan.

So much time has passed since To the Moon and now it's a series of games, accompanying comics, a board game, and soon a movie! You and the team should be proud on how far you all have come!
