I can understand that though, especially in a later stage of development, you'll want to see different things in action with everything else in the game
A color change can actually have a surprising amount of impact on things like visibility and intuitive understanding of something. Like health items are usually red in games, maybe green. But what if there were poison flasks too in the game, and health potions were colored dark green while poison was colored light green? Would be very hard to distinguish them from each other. And another extreme example, what if there was black tape instead of neon yellow on climbable rocks? I agree that it is a tragedy that neon yellow tape is even used, but if for example black tape was used instead, it would be way harder to notice. Apex legends has the best use of colors I've seen though, where all ammo types has its own unique color associated to it, and you know instinctively what type of ammo it is once you see the color after playing for a while.
If your character gets stuck and doesn’t fall if you jump into a wall, you have to create a new physic material and then go to the inspector of it and turn friction to zero, then apply that physic material to the collider component of that wall, you should use it on all of your walls in your game
"Look at this game... I... ehh... found it ...and I think it looks amazing." "LMAO this game sucks.... someone was mentally retarded making this pile of trash." "Oh...eh...ok then..." Or "I made this game." "Wow...well.. it looks.....good" "Thanks.. I guess.." *Quietly*"It was a piece of trash.."
I feel like when I’m working on my game I test it after any change to see it it works and then more thoroughly after any significant change to see how it feels and it also helps with coming up with new ideas as you see how things feel/find weird gameplay gimmicks

I had to present a project for a Unity course I've been working on. It was a horizontal scrolling space shooter, and quickly realized that the best strategy was to not move because the enemies would rarely spawn directly in front of you. I solved by implementing two changes: - once in a while an enemy would spawn that would want to chase the player in the Y axis while moving at a constant pace. So the player had to actively try to move away until the enemy would go past the player - and a set of enemies that spawned in threes, which were really vulnerable but every a couple seconds they would get the player's position and shoot at it, the bullet going faster the further the player was from the enemies, so it woulf enourage players to destroy them or fly close to them to make the bullets slower. It solved a lot of problems in the long run, and all went quite well.
Thanks for the shout out, and great points! The game sim tool really helped us out when we were really scratching our heads on how to balance our giant weapons system.
Yo Brackeys, I'm that guy! Love your content. I've spent most of my game development working on surf maps, but I am going to start my first full game in unity soon. I will be referencing a lot of your videos on my journey. Keep up the great work!

These are phenomenal tips! Also, for anyone who is a fan/used to be a fan of Halo, they had vidocs around the time of the release of Halo 3 where they test. They literally do all these things in any game(well debatably these days in some AAA games, as we see multiple pages of bug lists on some releases), clicking menus, testing weapons. Something that struck me is they said when they got external playtesters, they too would get the urge to defend their work. But remember, you can easily just say, "this game is in Alpha. may be VERY buggy" And sometimes, you can't plan for EVERYTHING either. In that very same vidoc, they said they tested this jump hundreds of times to see if someone could get to these crazy ledge that would be unfair and unreachable easily. They said they tested it hundreds of times and no one internally could make it, but on the launch day, someone gets up EFFORTLESSLY. So yea, lots of funny shit can go down :)
In one of my games I had a bug that enemies could walk through walls and even stop inside of them. So I repainted their sprites and made them ghosts instead of regular knights.
