    Thank you for the tutorial, we recently acquired the game, I remember playing it with my grandmother when I was really little. We had a great time tonight because you helped unravel the mystery directions

    We are playing the game today! My mom played as a child and tonight is the first time playing ever, her first time in 50 years. She said her favorite part is waiting for someone to miss their Flinch Pile move and yelling FLINCHHHH!

    Jane and Phil, thank you for bringing back my childhood. I recently purchased it from Amazon. I was wondering if their is a guild line for the number of cards used for each designated number of players? Also, you didn't mentioned the "Flinch" part of the game, which was my favorite part as a kid. Twice "Flinch" should have been called. At 8:09, Phil played a 5 from his hand before he played the 6 from his Flinch pile and at 9:16, Jane played a 13 from her table pile before she played it from her Flinch pile.

    Thanks for the great demonstration. I played this with my grandparents as a child but could not recall the rules of play. I do however recall some great memories of laughs send ribbing my grandfather when he lost. Now to see if I can get my daughters to put their cell phones down long enough to try something different with their old dad.

    Lovely.
    I'd love an old copy.
    You can play with ordinary cards if you want.
    Use three decks to give you approximately the same number of cards.
    Obviously you cannot go to 15, but that doesn't really matter

    Of course, saying "Flinch," you can give your opponent one of your cards from your Flinch pile

  • @critter2
    @critter2 2 года назад +2

    The one thing that wasn't touch is that you have to play your flinch pile if you don't play card someone call flinch you take the bottom of htere flinch pile added to yours. part of this was said just not the punishment for getting to call flinch

    I also am one that does not like figuring out games by reading the directions! That is why I am here 😂 I picked this game up at a yard sale today for two bucks with en extra deck of cards to go with it! Thank you for showing me how to play. Question… how many reserve piles are you allowed?

    • @Misshissproductions
      @Misshissproductions  2 года назад

      5 reserve piles is how we have played per the rules in this particular version :) Hope you enjoy!

    I just watched again. During mid video you both have no plays and go back and forth depleting your hand just to draw 5 more. Seems du.mb At each turn draw back up to 5 and play. Seems more sensible Both of you know you are holding 5 cards you cant play and spend 5 turns back and forth getting rid of them to the discard piles. Try my idea.

    • @Misshissproductions
      @Misshissproductions  9 месяцев назад

      We reread the rules. And I’m going to quote them verbatim. “Whenever a player plays the last card held in his hand to the table he must be given a new hand, and he is entitled to a new hand as often as this occurs, which may be as many times in succession. When the last card in your hand is played to the reserve, you are not entitled to a new hand until your next turn to play.
      So basically that’s why they have the stack criss crossed in groups of five cards each because you can’t just pick up one at a time or draw your hand back up. The rules specifically state that you have to wait until you play your last card to get the next group of five. Just wanted to let you know we did look into it and make sure we weren’t doing something wrong. However, there are always house rules, and anybody can do your idea of course. 😊

    • @robertclark4929
      @robertclark4929 6 месяцев назад

      @@Misshissproductions we play by drawing back up to five every turn. We also don't 'flinch Whoever depletes their pile first wins. We keep it simple like skip bo.

  • @Dennis.B7
    @Dennis.B7 6 месяцев назад

    The ' 8 ' should be played on the other ' 8 ' , not on the ' 12 ' ....

      @@Misshissproductionshonestly why couldn't you just draw your hand back up to 5 on each turn??? That would make more sense than going back and forth depleting your hand. If you understand what I am saying. Thats how Skip Bo is done.
