I love it I have a 64 Fairlane prostreet street legal and I love going to the shows and seeing all the many beautiful cars ,iam 33 yrs in Army Aviation and iam am not going to let the far left take my gas cars just so they can get rich off these electric car ,there expensive there dangerous and they'll never work out

You are right on. I hope I'm wrong. But one day, not long from now, it will probably be illegal to own such a car. And even the wealthiest amongst us who get a pass to keep theirs won't be able to find fuel anywhere. They'll be relegated to being in private collections nobody ever sees. Few people value such things as this anymore. Most kids I see who run around the neighborhood would rather have the newest version of Nintendo Switch and some bubblegum flavored vape than be given the keys to a free 55 Chevy gasser ready for the show.
I see lots of old farts like me of 74 who finally got the dough to recreate the 1960' and 70s in
LA. Sad that you can't notice ANY young owners!! They all bought Subarus and big exhaust pipe extensions.
I'm always late, day-gone-it! I wonder can I bring my junk to this here thang with all the noise?
Edit: Aww heck, I fergot to say how really sweet it is seein all these old boys brangin their heavy peddles out in the open like this! Thank you to everyone who was there and those who made it happen!

That's a SC/Rambler American, also known as the Rambler Scrambler. The Machine was a Rambler Rebel commonly known as The Brick. They were both pretty hot.
The only thing that was missing was me.. lol.

A great gathering of timeless classics. I remember the days of watching the cars at lion's dragstrip.
Some really beautiful cars & sling shot dragsters here! That cackle never gets old! I'm 68 & it's too bad that most people today never got to see these awesome machines actually race! Wild Willy & his one handed burn outs in "Pure Hell"! Good old days are truly gone forever!❤
What a way to spend a day, reminds me of the old San Fernando Drags, Tommy Ivo, Stone Woods & Cook, Micky Thompson. The good old days
Also- The City of San Fernando 62 409 chevy driven by my Van Nuys High School friend Willy Honsberger racing Don Nicholson's chevy, Hayden Proffit Pontiacs, etc. Dandy Dick Landy's Automotive Research Dodges, Bob & Dale Motors beautiful blue Super Stock Ford, etc. Those were the best days! (For me anyway)

Faves were the white Rambler wagon and the Demented wagon, love that pewter patina on the latter's grille!

Great vlog, thanks for posting and sharing with us. BUT, as for me, the Henry-J and the Rambler, I’d rather have them as non-gassers. Streetable with a 4.0/242 fuel injected inline 6s. Just me, and that AMC SCRAMBLER is to die for. Eddie Cortez AMC dealer,Wichita Falls,Tx, gave me a ride in a Scrambler, oh what a ride. I do love me some gassers! Beats NASCAR all over!!!

Not many folks born after 2000 know what "Mr. Toads Wild Ride" at Disneyland was, I'll bet. It was an "E" ticket ride and I loved it... Not many young folks would know about the ticket books either.

Young mother doesn't get it. She should be protecting that little child's ears that she is holding. Little kids have very sensitive hearing when they are that little.
I was fortunate to live during the era of gassers. I grew up spending every weekend at Lions Drag Strip during the 60's on into the 70's. It was a time when so much drag racing history was made.
I love this sound, Hate hearing it on modern day pickup trucks 😡

0:37 is just about the only one I liked.
It was a low tech but effective way to get good weight transfer back in the day. Not much need now with modern tyres and suspension.

At 1:02 this scene is so prophetic of the times we live in. A 37 Chevy gasser passing an electric Tesla. The complete opposite ends of the spectrum. I'll take the 37 Chevy. It has a soul.
