I'm a Clemson grad, class of 94'. I've seen a metric ton of film analysis on the Clemson Tiger football team. Most was your garden variety of typical film study. Your analysis however is the most comprehensive and detailed I've ever seen. We literally have the same issues this season that we had last season. The OL is a GLARING problem, with not understanding the basic fundamentals of pass protection and run blocking. The defense will be a top 5-8 defense, with Peter Woods and T.J. Parker on the ends and Barrett Carter, Wade Woodazz, and Sammy Brown at LB. I will be recommending your channel to hundreds of fans and people involved in the program. To answer your question. In my opinion, the last time Georgia got ate up with screens was 2017 at Auburn. Mostly WR screens. We jumped all the screens in the rematch and destroyed them. Nobody has successfully screened the Dawgs since

Clemson is gonna surprise you. The thing that has hurt clemson alot is injuries. And you can't basemuch off of a vanilla spring game that is only aloud to use a set few plays on both sides. But there was alot of guys that were held out of the spring. We had 3 starters on the oline in the spring game not play over. Half the defense and half the offense didn't even play in the spring. The personnel is going to be alot different. I like your reviews and the stuff you do much respect. Just don't see how you can judge clemson on a spring game knowing that's far from what clemson will be just based on the availability of the spring game

*2nd year starter. Problem with cade is hes been jumpy, and the game seems fast to him. So the nuance of knowing not to run around 24/7 but also feel and respond to pressure seems to be still getting him.
Yup. There's a reason that Cade is the fastest QB we've had in a very long time, while simultaneously being the worst at buying time or scrambling. Pearman is much slower, but he showed to have an incredible sense for how and where to run. Cade just seems to lack an awareness and intuitive understanding of the game, and I hate to say that because he had a ton of physical talent.

As a clemson fan you nailed it. We have recruited the wrong WR for a long time and the QBs are not good. The OL I think will be better and Moore will give us more talent at WR. But QB and just general Offensive concept is just not good. You are right the 3rd team qb seems to get it the only 1

I do talent analysis for a living..and I appreciate someone taking the time like yourself to put in the work. With that said..... You WILL be wrong about the trenched in this game. Clemson DL is probably the best in the country and can set a hard edge. The OL is much better then you think, as a matter of fact they will have Georgia in a spin cycle running counters and sweeps.
The biggest issue in this game is Carson Beck will be exposed throwing the post and fade... there is a secret that Georgia doesnt want people to know and it's him throwing these 2 passes. The Clemson coaches know it and will expose him by sending hard pressure in the A gap.
Clemson is going to win this game and this program has been disrespected recently... Don't forget that Dabo is a 2 time NC. Went to the NC game 4 times and the playoffs 6 times.
Great analysis my man. Nailed the things that killed us last year. Hoping Matt Luke brings us a championship O-line. I think our WR room will be a huge improvement from last year barring they stay healthy. Need Cade to play smart and take care of the football. Can't wait for August 31st!

It probably should be noted that Antonio W. was the only starting WR Clemson had in spring... the rest were freshman and walk-ons. But considering Clemson's injury history at WR the past 3 seasons, that is probably who UGA will face anyway. Hope not....hope we get good-on-good for Game 1.

Great video, for sure. I dont anticipate clemson winning the game ill make that clear, but i think the spring game (which i know is all you can go by) is a good read on what game 1 will look like just because of the amount of starters who did not play this game. Outside of brinningstoool and williams 5 guys on offense didnt play 2 from the oline. It doesn't take away from some of the small details rolling, checks, and concepts and honestly quarterback freedom. It's actually alarming.i do think it benifits clemson though ultimately to get this tape and break it down and hopefully cleaned it up in the summer. Spot on on with the speed 0,6,12 in my mind are the only vertical threats maybe 1 if hes as advertised.
There’s a lot going on that most fans cannot dissect. The way you simplified this made sense to me.
Clemson has a lot to correct, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. You are spot on that for Clemson to have success, they have to pound the rock (effectively) between the tackles and move the ball through the air vertically down the field.
Too many IFs right now, so based on what I just saw from your excellent analysis, Georgia should have no problem winning this game barring some disaster plays like inexcusable fumbles or bad snaps.

Your football knowledge is highly educated, obviously; however, this should help you remember that Spring Games are entirely about 1v1 matchups. They’re just another personal evaluation/practice and have nothing to do with team dynamics for games. That’s why there is so much M2M.
If there are base defenses, it’s only to work something that’s either new or new with the personnel.

I don't know how much of a problem the receivers and OL actually are though, because when Pearman came in with the same group of WR's and OL, everyone played amazing. Receivers got open and made great catches, OL was no longer an issue. I really wonder how much of this is due to the QB.
I never want to see another screen play from this team. Idk what changed but since 2021 we've forgotten how to go north. Maybe its the fact that we recruit all Mike Williams clones and don't have any route runners.

Ok, three minutes in and you’re wrong. Clemson does not do 1s vs 2s in the Spring Game. They split the squads up evenly, breaking up the 1s, combining them in squads with the 2s and even 3s. You’re not talking about Georgia, who does run all 1s. Jeez.
Other than that, I can’t argue the assessment.

What may be worse than the Clemson Offense/Coaching is the Clemson fanbase. DW4 and TL16 made do with sub-par OL but great WR, and won championships. DJU had no experience but he paired pathetic WR with again sub-par OL. The faithful ran him outta town because that's what the faithful do: blame it all on the QB even as he was improving. Now you've still got sub-par OL to go with emerging WR (better than was shown in the spring game because of true FR and injuries), but now you legitimately have a QB who can't be trusted consistently. Clemson's a 10-2 team that won't really scare UGA, but will make the ACC Championship game in a basketball conference.
Well said, and I have said it so many times. Clemson is not going to have a Georgia or Michigan OL but with elite skills players they have overcome that achilles. I agree with DJ, if he had remain this team would be further along with the development of Cade. Nevertheless, Spring is not what Clemson will put on the field this season.
