In this episode, I talk about the rank structure at West Point and what my job is on Brigade Staff. You also get to see what a day in my film class is like. Awesome class taught by Dr. Samet. You get to see a little formation action and more mess hall shenanigans. I throw in a little work out session and end it with some Dead Mau5. Typical day.

Hey Capt. I guess that is your rank by now. Hopefully I am not demoting you..... Thank you for these vlogs. My father was class of '65 and we just buried him at the academy recently. I snuck onto post early in the morning before the funeral and made some vids trying to get a feel for the place and walk a little in his footsteps (even though I had been there a ton growing up). I have a better appreciation now from the trip and even more now from your videos. THANK YOU!
So was that the ARVN field house you were working out in?
I want to join west point but im asian
I lived at west point in the late 80's into the early 90's, my dad was a history professor there.....we were a host family for cadets, and at the time I as young, was there from 5-9 years old. The cadets that we hosted would always take me down to the cadet section during football games, and they would hold me up on there hands and I would do pushups for every point scored, and sing "on brave old Army team" at the top of my lungs.....some of the best memories of my life were up there in the Hudson valley, definitely a wonderful place and great young men and woman that attend the academy......I thought about going to the academy, but I ended up going to The Citadel, not the same as the academy, but a lot of similarities. Great channel man....and by now you have graduated....so I wish you the best as a commissioned officer. Take care. GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!!!!!
Thanks for checking out my channel and for sharing your story! I've heard great things from the Citadel as well! Hope all is well. Go Army!
Looks like the rooms we had in D-4 in MacArthurs Barracks. Great memories with a view out the window that looked like a painting hung on the wall looking up the Hudson River. Thanks for sharing those fond memories!
I just would like to thank you immensely for making all the great videos on your channel, as Junior in highschool who is seriously considering applying to West Point in the Fall, your videos really give me insight into the atmosphere and dynamic at West Point. With all the different pressures coming from family and friends your videos help me find out if West Point is right for me, not only that your videos are very entertaining and well made, with clear evidence that tons of time and effort went into thinking of each shot and editing was precisely and simplistically done.
Thanks again.
Dude I am also a junior applying lmao! Good luck!
Awesome, are you planning on attending SLE?
Jan O. yea! I am going to session #2! are you?
No :( I was accepted but learned later that I would be out of country, I really wanted to go though.
I love your videos. I have a close friend who is currently a plebe, but sometimes I find that it's hard to understand the dynamic of USMA if you aren't actually there yourself. I appreciate your insight!
Hey Kirsten. Happy to hear the videos have been helpful! Thanks for checking out my content.
How is the senior most staff “picked”, is it like decided by the outgoing staff, or like the faculty or a election?
Now where is the part of the gym with the track on the 2nd level? I remember going there and working out with my folks when my Dad was an admissions officer in the 80's.
Love the flag in the background! 🇭🇹 Great video, Cadet Officer.
Great videos.... 👍🏼🇺🇸🇨🇱🇪🇸
Bro your videos are so awesome it gives me a good reason on why I want to attend s military academy
Love your vids! I'm from Indiana & I am waiting on admissions for my application, still. I am triple Q'd, but just hoping for the best! Do you have any clue when they will send out anything?
ethan park I was told my letter would come before April 15th
Thanks Ethan. I would would patiently in the next few months. You should receive something soon! Stay confident.
Before you tube West Point seemed very intimidating. I wish you tube was around when I was in high school.
Awesome vid! Keep vlogging!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
I’m in middle school and what I should do is join the army and go to normal basic training and after that I will go to westpoint
Hey Thomas, could you make a video on all the Cadet ranks, what the insignia looks like, and what their job usually entails? Also I love your channel
Hey Brayden. Sure thing! Thanks for the support!
Yeaah! Thomas Vlogs that would be awesome!
I'm signing up to join West Point Military Academy in New York City, but I don't know if my trip is paid or not. I am currently a Cadet Sergeant in the California Cadet Corps in high school, going into my senior year
Can I have someones advice on being a 25M. I am about to enter the army, and I have to be honest that I am 32 years old with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Multimedia Design. I was wondering if working for the army in Multimedia Illustrating is something that can be a long lasting career.
This is good. PBS would like it. It would be like Carrier Series about the Navy.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks John!
PBS is a channel i believe the word you are looking for is PS
You so cool! Like awesome!
I really love your videos
Glad you enjoyed the videos!
How long are each classes?
Are you still at West point ? cause your jacket says usma 16 but great video and how was barrack gorillas?
I'm no longer at West Point. I graduated last May. Thanks!
Thailand !!
Hey Thomas, I’m a sophomore in HS, looking to apply for the USMA. My mom is always on my ass saying how I need to do volunteer hours in order to get into it, if I have the minimum to graduate is this okay? Or does West Point genuinely care about the community service hours?
I have not been to West Point, but looking at all of their requirements they have online, they don’t need community service hours but it would certainly be something nice to have as extra.
What sport did you play at West Point?
I think in one video he is wearing a West Point taekwondo jacket.
GrossBananaBear Bingo.
who was the first captain in 2016? Lindsey Danilack?
Albrecht Stein E. J. Coleman III
Oh no way they have a drum and fire corph !!
Cutting Deadmau5 out for a Chainsmokers remix is basically a sin. Awesome vids though even though i’m two years late.
Really enjoy your vlogs!!! Are you still in the Army? What rank, if you are and where are you stationed? We need more leaders like the ones coming out of West Point. That's where Trump should have gone to school!!
Class insignia: NOT yellow and green. Black, gray and gold are our colors. Black= Firstie or senior. Gray= Cow or junior. Gold= Yearling or sophomore. Plebes or freshmen do not wear insignia.
Where's the shouting? How the hell can you talk while eating without someone shouting at you? How can you use both hands to eat?
Looks like hogwarts at dinner
