The contrast between the classical and the jazz sound is simple perfect; represent the right difference of both sound style.

Great to see Dr. Walsh! I learned a ton from him about how to get a good jazz tone in masterclasses and as an example of how to be a caring teacher and stand-up guy.

He's a great, versatile player and great guy! Check out his colleague, Otis Murphy, cream of the crop classical player. He also teaches at IU JSoM.

I feel like categorizing mouthpieces into category’s isn’t very useful, if you like you’re jazz sound to be dark and edgy using a classical piece makes sense. Whatever works for the sound you’re going for, it’s nice to see you found it!

You have jazz mouthpieces which sound dark and edgy. Classical mouthpieces aren't very useful for jazz, they're just too clean.

Small, neutered classical sound. Listen to the guys playing on the original Our Gang films.
