      hornylink it doesn't help. most houses don't have its doorways any more reinforced than any other part of the house. if anything, it leaves you vulnerable from two sides and the instinct is dangerous when you're in a public setting, since it encourages panic and may result in trampling.
      it's one of those myths that can do more harm than good, like the whole wallet/belt crap for people with epileptic seizures.

      Jacek Wandzel fuck it I don't feel like teaching someone on the internet the basics of structural integrity, myth busters covered the basics, look that up so you can stop being wrong.

      +Jacek Wandzel It's best to hide in the basement too. Then the whole top of the building is there to protect you from the quake.
