This is by far Mcknight's best rendition of the song live that I've hear on RUclips. I can tell this was also when he was younger and able to hit those notes with ease. In the years after he would make adjustments to how he sang this song given how hard it truly is to sing certain parts at this level especially the last part.. That being said Brian McKnight is still phenomenal and holding it down after all these years.
I really haven't seen any evidence of him struggling to hit those notes in any recent performances of his, I really don't think his voice has decayed one bit in the last 20 years.
I agree that those 2 are very talented. Whether or not I like what they do completely depends on my own taste. Of course we are all entitled to our own taste, so so are you. I for one, love it when BM does these amazing things with his voice. His control is unbelievable! One thing. BM has been around for what, almost 20 years. That demands respect!

Brian McKnight's voice is clearly richer in color and texture. When Brian goes from chest to head voice, the connection is still well rooted in his voice. Alot of "UMPF" to his voice no matter where on the scale he sings. LOVED IT!! How about towards the end when they were harmonizing the long note and McKnight still held on....showing he had not just a great voice but good breath control. It's clear why Brian is not just famous here but world-over. YOU GO BRIAN!!!
