I love you and Patrick’s u-tube and on-line classes. I’m a new student in Yoga renews 200 hour on-Lin YTT course and I’m definitely a fan. I’m learning a lot already and more importantly to me is I’m enjoying the process. For me the journey is my destination. Yoga is a way of life and I love it and the way you guys are sharing it with me. It feels like I’m really part of a community, and that means a lot to me. Thank you! (Charles Walker)
We're so thrilled to have you here with us, Ronnie. The journey being your destination is a great mindset, and we second it. Thank you for being here. 🙏
Excellent video, Kate! Very clear explanation of the differences in the 2 styles. Now I understand why I enjoy both and feel like they help me connect with my mind and body in different ways!
Thank you, Kate! Very helpful. I'm in the process of completing your teacher's training and I truly enjoy it 😊 Thank you for a wonderful and enriching experience! Toni, Florida
i think in some vinyasa classes you can expect to do like 50 chaturangas and i dont think that is appropriate for more people's bodies (shoulder joint especially), of course people can do chaturangas from the knees or skip completely - but with this in mind it is hard to say that vinyasa and hatha are equal! hatha seems to be more appropriate :)
forward fold and cat cow can be a real strain for a bad neck....any suggestions? I have been doing goddess squat instead of forward fold, or cat cow from a sitting position. It is hard to come up with a modification quickly...
Love it! Kate is my fav!! I teach Vinyasa in my power class, and in my deep stretch class, I teach Hatha! I loved your explanation!

Thank you for your amazing descriptions and advice!!
Happy to help! -Kate
Thanks for the clarification!
Thank you!
Can you do a Hatha class mixed with vinyasa?
forward fold and cat cow can be a real strain for a bad neck....any suggestions?
I have been doing goddess squat instead of forward fold, or cat cow from a sitting position.
It is hard to come up with a modification quickly...
do chin tucks to strengthen your neck.
You know your body best; refrain from anything that causes you pain, but neck rolls are safe to get your neck stretched!
i’ve got a teaching job lined up and i have to choose whether to teach hatha or vinyasa. i’m not sure which to pick!
Is it ok to combine the styles of a Hatha and Vinyassa Flow in one classes?
Yes!
