1. No you don’t need to. I usually have my palm lifted when using my arm to move. 2. If it is comfortable to have your fingers fully on the mouse and not the mousepad that is better. But discomfort will lead to inaccuracy over time.
I've noticed that there are a lot of Valorant youtubers that put out "fluff" videos that say nothing. to counteract this I have started a list of creators that consistently make actually good/educational content. Level Up Gaming, thank you for being a strong part of that list :)
Thank you, I started slowly realizing I was scared of holding angles because of just that, without even thinking about it, I was scared of holding angles and would most of the time end up being aggressive instead of playing passive and dying. Now that I understand most of these things, I don't have the flashbacks of me dying to a wide peeker xd
Subroza is the prime example of good angle-distance holding. Just watch his pistol rounds and the way he predicts swings and adjusts how he holds angles is literally perfect.
I've always had my crosshair like that, a little far from the angle. People always shouted at me to put it closer to the angle, I never got why that would be helpful when my reaction time is about average
Yo, don’t lose hope in gaining more subscribers! Subscribed! You’re awesome, and I love the content. I’ve wanted to know what the problem is with angle holding for years!!!
love the second omen smoke on bind b at the end of the video gonna have to steal that one. makes it difficult for someone to play the tube well as well as cubby or back site. they can only push from 1 angle without risking being far from physical cover!
what i usually think is if i hear footsteps i hold a wide angle, but if i don't hear anything i'll hold a tight angle, its more so game sense i suppose
I remember I would always hold close to the wall in low elo and just get a free one tap because everyone would walk peek but as I got a bit higher (basically just gold) I would just get shit on most of the time by wide swings unless I hit the occasional flick. But then I found on some old xtr video from beta that talked about peeking and holding angles so I realized to be ready for either a wide swing or a slow peek you just gotta hold in the middle
I've been holding angles with some distance from the wall since I started playing, it is a way better than holding tiny angles you will to be insanely fast to hit the shot before the guy passes your crosshair
I gave this a go earlier in my unrated and my god it's effortless. I'd always emulate the pros like Shroud who holds his angles insanely tight, it didn't occur to me that he's able to do it, just because he's Shroud. This is way more beneficial than doing what I tried to do. One of the better tips for sure
I am going to try this now. Ill return and let you know how it goes Edit: So I followed your guidelines in this video. I went from a negative kd with a average of 9 killers per game to a positive of 20 plus kills.
I do vod reviews regularly on stream. You can submit your vods in the community discord. But unfortunately since I also have a day job there isn’t enough time in the world for me to do RUclips, stream, and do 1on1 coaching right now. Maybe in the future though.
thanks for making this video it helped a lot. I was about to stop playing this game because I always die when I hold angles, but this helped me getter better at the game. Funny story, I was playing unrated and my team though I was a radiant player just by how I was holding angles and hitting my shots. which was kinda funny because I don't really play rank. anyways thank you very much for making this video.
I stopped playing valorant and grinded aim lab for about 1-2 months until I averaged about 60k because my aim was dogshit. I hop back on valorant and I’m still so dog shit I know my aim is good so here I am learning tactics
Nice video, although this is very know even in silver to gold ranks. The disadvantage with this is when someone jiggle peeks or slow peeks you. You are fooked
@@LevelUpGamingOfficial I've seen other videos that estimated an advantage of about 40ms to counterstrafing in Valorant vs not. Do you know if that's accurate, and if it is, is 40ms negligible enough that it's not worth the slight extra difficulty in counterstrafing?
just a little thing that dosnt really matter but can you go dnd when recording videos because I love the videos but keep looking at my other monitor everytime I hear the noise
If you are talking about jumping to see around an angle then that can be useful, but if you are talking about someone jumping around a corner when you are holding it, them being in the air gives you extra time to react since they won't be accurate until they land and stop moving.
Technically Radiants and Mortals are alot more predictable as they aim for the head all the time, All these tips can basically be used against them lmao
@@LevelUpGamingOfficial yeah, I've been playing on and off fps games since I'm 10 but recently I pcked up a viper mini and a M size mouse pad and a friend who jus started valorand 4 months ago is already better than me, and it's depressing cause the same thing happens to me in all my life aspects, is frustating

This is true, he also explains this tip where u need to adjust the crosshair when holding an angle coz most of the time players are swinging wide.
I've always had my crosshair like that, a little far from the angle. People always shouted at me to put it closer to the angle, I never got why that would be helpful when my reaction time is about average

I suck at holding angle , so I jiggle peak the angles ready to prefire but tagging stops you completely unlike csgo , this will be helpful.
Yes, tagging is much more punishing in valorant! Good Luck!

Thanks ive been placing my crosshair tightly on angles ive lost lots and lots of duels because of this.

you know what, i've learned this the hard way in csgo. good video though 9/10
Thanks!
Wait.. so when we wide peek, we don't need to press the opposite direction to fully stop?
not in valorant. That is how it is in CS but in valorant you stop super fast!

That is incredibly difficult to actually prove accurately, I would say feel it out for yourself and do what works best for you.

Yes but they also have better game sense and aim. So they can correct for a crouched player more accurately than say, a bronze.
