- Point of view test drive video of the BMW 7 Series 2016. The BMW 740i has a 2998cc petrol engine with 6 cylinders in-line that delivers 326hp and a max. torque of 450 Nm. The 740i goes from 0-100 km/h in 5,5 sec and it has a topspeed of 250 km/h. The 740i is rear wheel drive and has an 8-speed steptronic gearbox.
The price of the car as tested: 123.965 euro (in Belgium).

in theory the 7 series focuses on driving dynamics and not interior frills, but because bmw only makes big cushy boats now, it no longer has that defense
Well, they clearly intend it to rival the S class, there's no denying that! I agree that BMW has a different focus, it's just that having a nicer interior(not that this interior isn't nice, but the S class's just feels more upclass) shouldn't necessarily take away from the driving dynamics.

it's all about where you spend your R&D dollars as well as where the money is going to build the car. mercedes has alright driving dynamics but amazing interiors because that's what they prioritize at the price point
But the S-class (and most Mercedes) is just so dull, if you want a grey with grey trim and grey plastics then Mercedes is the go to company but I just found the S class a little bland. But I have only been a passenger in them never driving but it's the same with the 2015 E-class I loved how quiet it was and the exterior styling but it was so dull to drive and the interior was awful and such low quality.
This wasn't the 740Li model. Which is the long based model looks much better in the backseat

I don't think they even offer them, due to low demands. Same as how BMW sold its radar technology to Audi when all the tailgating muppets went to the Ingolstadt firm.

Nik Brudar And frankly, most Rolls owners have the means to do that. Honestly, though, I think they'll move over on their own. And the upcoming Rolls SUV (blasphemy, but still) will just run them over.

Is the 740i a good choice if want a bit more power compared to the 730d but you don't want to pay the money for 740xd or save them for options?
Out of those 3 i think i would prefer the 740xd because it has xDrive and more torque

+SHENGYUAN LIU if I'm paying the same price, why wouldn't I buy a saloon with high quality. Dodge is cheap. It's a obvious choice. Just because I don't have 700HP under the hood, doesn't mean it's not fast.
+SHENGYUAN LIU plus I don't like the new charger tail lights. They are too distinct and you can see them for 3 miles. Same goes with the new escalade tail lights. A total fail!!

124,000 euro which is about 139,000 dollars. that's not too bad for a business class car. you can buy a Nissan gtr nismo for $140,000, 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds. that beats lamborghini aventador and other super cars
This car is 83K what are you on about? Only a 750Li can reach over 100K. And even with that model it's still around 120K max. There's no 7 series that's priced at 140K. The fuck are you on about.

+JN DNT was wel interessante ervaring :) je kan de stuurhulp combineren met de adaptieve cruise control. Dan doet de auto het meeste werk.
