It really is impressive to think of what this man has accomplished. Look at 8:16 . Comparing the two sides Master Rostropovich looks tiny, weak, etc... Yet still at this age if you put him in the center of a stage with cello and bow, he is a giant. His playing is greatly missed
I love this man, such in credible artist and amazing human being and I can say the same about his wife, Galina Vishnevskaya
I learn a lot from returning to his interviews and teaching videos to listen again from time to time. Many young cellist could benefit from the same.
