In reality, tracks and running gear get very hot across country and on roads, when they get wet you can see the steam coming off them, also across varied terrain, especially sandy soil, the tracks are a very bright steel colour not rusty, graphite is too dull,AK's extreme metal steel would be perfect for highlighting tracks, hope this helps

Hi Lukasz, that was another great tutorial, what did you clean your brushes with after using the burnishing and rust liquid? Take care and keep safe mate, best regards from Australia.

Thx Les! I clean the brusshes first with papertowel and then with Total Cleaner from Modellers World. :)

I noticed on German tanks that they have regular English numbers is that the same in German, are German numbers different in their language or the same as English and if not why would they put English numbers on a German vehicle

Kolejny świetny film. Będę musiał przenieść te techniki na plastikowe gąski ale to problem tylko pierwszej i drugiej warstwy (Steel i Rust) malowania.

Lukasz, great video! I’m returning to armor modeling after many years and to be honest wasn’t sure how to tackle painting “standard” black rubber tracks that are supplied with tamiya tanks. Would you recommend dry brushing them with silver color first then maybe applying a rust wash to effectively make them more realistic and less toy like? Cheers!

Well, rubber tracks are shitty :) but if you need to use them dont paint them with rust. First very dark brown, then a bit of dust and very small amount of silver on the edges. :)
