According to university research study I read years ago, it stated that the garbage man held the most important job in a major city. More important than police and fire. The reason being that if garbage isn't collected and hauled away then disease will rapidly spread. Made sense.

I don't know what a laborer on the back makes a year but damn, hustling like that day after day? That's blood money. I know they wanna get the route done but if you're getting paid a flat rate for the day I'd rather drag it out to 8 or 9 hours at least once in a while than pound my body to get it done in 7 hours.

some spots have incentive boost which can be up to 100 extra dollars,. if you have 5 routes that have a huge load lets say, u could be pulling an extra 500 dollars a check
