Yes or Yes is like their stepping stone before Fancy happened. It's less cute and their outfits kind of matured a little but still maintaining the Twice bubbly sound. Cheer up is the one that made Twice blew up but TT is like where they found their sound and concept.

I don't think the choreo is kinda "lazy". It fits the song very well. The choreo doesn't have to be complicated to be good.

- I totally agree. But I don't think he actually meant it. He could've used a better expression than "lazy", but then it's a reaction so practically everything he said is on spur of that moment. Maybe, just maybe, he wants to say "easier".

Yes, in the mv it slightly looks lazy because the mv realy focused on the visuals, he is right about it, but if he watched the dance practice he wouldn't say such thing.

Well, the dances for Twice has improved, so Yes or Yes dance I wouldn't call it lazy but compared to previous dances, it's more energetic. Dance practices worth to watch for me are Fancy, What is love, Yes or Yes, Signal, Dance the night away, TT
TT, Likey, and Heartshaker are the best title tracks for me besides What is Love and Fancy. Honorable mentions are Like Ooh-Ahh and Knock Knock

fancy's choreography is definitely the hardest twice has ever done!
it has been recognised by non fans and fans that twice started from a simpler choreography and progress into more difficult choreography!
seeing as how you go from recent to older ones, the dance will probably get simpler as you watch their older music videos. 🙆🙆
their music too! it gets more mature as they release more songs. another song that comes close to fancy is their japanese song, breakthrough.
but if you watch breakthrough, you need to watch it's twin music video, happy happy. they went for 'day and night' theme for those two mvs! perfect representation of the progression of twice bubbly song to their mature side 🤧

Yes or Yes was the first TWICE song I listened to and what made me love TWICE so I can't help but love the song but I can definitely see where you're coming from
When i watch YES or YES MV, it reminds me of The Sims Magic Town. Look like when we entered TWICE SQUARE, we cant find any exit away from TWICE. TWICE is a group of pretty girls have magical power. Their charms made everyone keep staying with TWICE.
Tzuyu with black hair is so so so pretty, especially when they promoto YES or YES perfomances in music bank and other music show, she looks incredibly beautiful. (Sorry for broken english)
This song came out a lot sooner than fancy, so it makes sense that their choreography would get more exciting as their experience grows.

I'm not an expert dancer but I always cover Twice's choreos and to be honest Yes or Yes is the most difficult for me of course Fancy is hard too but I think Fancy is 2nd in difficulty and Yes or Yes is the 1st

You must've been in the sun too long. Just pure craziness if you think this is less than fancy; and I watched and listened to it for 2 weeks straight. This is the same...a crazy earworm of a song. But to each their own.

I've been looking for this all day! Glad you react to this. I'm going to watch it! 😍
Talking about their choreography, this is by far their hardest choreography they've ever performed. Mainly because the BPM is 138. Freaking fast (I mean it's fast but they are not used to fast tempos music).
BUT.. What Is Love's tempo is 170BPM but the choreography is kinda simpler than Yes or Yes prior to the cute concept of the music. Yes or Yes is the pathway or the bridge to Fancy.. the cool concept.
And they got used to the cute style/concept mid-to-low tempo songs before tho.
Even single one of each members told that the choreography was hard that it gets to the point where all of them are confused. Lol.
Sana mentioned before in the Yes or Yes showcase that she didn't like the song at first, and probably not her cup of tea, but she got used to it after listening to the song over and over again. Somewhat kind of relatable especially when your taste of music rounds up for like 80 - 110 BPM.
I remember when BTS watched this stage at one of ceremony award last year, they are really amazed with this song and told that yes or yes Choreography is really fast

The choreography is much simple because they were tired. They had many comebacks in 2018( What is Love, Dance The Night Away, BDZ, Yes or Yes, The Best Thing I Ever Did) and made them very exhausted.

choreography, they have to sing live while performing and have to perform song after song in their concert, so with that in mind the choreography is set. but i disagree with choreography being lazy, i recommended you to check their dance practice of yes or yes to see what i meant. but yeah comparatively some songs may look easier than other twice songs ,but every choreo always have that visual impact which Twice are known for....the eye catching choreographies .

I don't know if anyone has explained this, but k-pop dances, especially for girl groups, aren't meant to be hard or complicated. It is meant to become viral and stick in your head. Twice are masters in this just like their senior group WonderGirls. To see an example of this watch any 'kpop random play dance' video here on RUclips and notice what happens when Twice plays. EVERYONE starts dancing to the song. Anyone can pick the dance up and replicate it.

i totally agree .. it's not one of their best songs .. i mean it's nice song but that's it . especially after hearing what's better from them ... the choreography was cool to me and easy to learn and i would do the 'yes or yes' part with my fingers all the time so that part what's addicted about the song to me...
and i think you heard two of their best /addicted songs that's why some of their other songs may seem not as good as the other .. but good news is that there's still more of good songs from them ^^

ok so my church friends all love kpop and they would listen to this song all the time，and so i listened to it and i was like 'what's the big deal？？it's not that good 。。'，but then i listened to it a couple more times，learned some of the lyrics and now i love it sooooo much！！！i think you need time to absorb the song because ut's seriously so good

Lazy? Maannn, this coreo is really energetic and intense even though isn't one of the most complex ones. And at this point TWICE was so tired, they promote 5+ comebacks in the whole year, but they still performed with full energy. You can see videos when the performance ends and they just collapse bc of how tired they were :( TWICE 👏NEEDS👏 A PROPER 👏VACATION!
